Trapping thieves

Are you ****ing stupid? Holding someone against their will, including ****bag thieves is called false imprisonment. Depending on where you live it is a felony. You will get into more legal trouble than the ****bag thief most likely.
I like that language
"false imprisonment"

really on the nose that the state is the only one that gets to treat you filthy lowborn animals like the cattle that you are (to them)

Sounds like all evidence must be removed…

Extra demon.

Unscrew spark plug two turns and put wire back on, or some kind of hidden ignition switch. That is assuming they aren’t sitting right by the road where they can back a truck or a trailer right up next to it.

I'm already running several motion sensor cameras. I think a few of the 12ga "booby traps" along with some tanglefoot would send a message :stirthepot:

Those are just grenade fuse holders. I sold a bucket full of them, 6.00 ea. I think theres still a guy on the AKFiles selling them
You can just use a 209 primer OR you can use .22

Un hook spark plug and plug it into wire that pokes out under the seat in leg area.

A shipping container is already 80% of a havahart trap. Angle iron or pipe door frame with chain link center panel that swings from the roof, held up by a 12v electromagnet door lock. Trip wire is an alligator clip on the wire to the 12v battery. Any sort of gate latch with the handle cut off will keep it closed.

Only down side is losing the first 8-10’ of space inside the container for the door to swing. Or if you have a guy inside the opening holding the light for the other thief and it caves his head in.

I made a motion trip out of RV light sensors, 12v supply, and some speaker cable that goes into the house
stick the sensor in a PVC pipe and you can narrow the beam down to a pin point so you arent getting rabbits or wildlife tripping it
I stuck the pipe in the wood pile, you cant see it, if you do it looks like a random piece of pipe laying there

On a somewhat related note...

"Your Honor... When my daughter and I entered my property we were surprised when we found someone inside. I asked the person to leave, then he lunged towards us. I thought I saw a weapon, I was just protecting my daughter from getting harmed... who knows what he was capable of. I feel horrible this ended the way it did... "

Excellent.

false imprisonment.
Slow down for a second here.

Have you ever seen security footage of thieves in a gas station or jewelry store ending up stuck because a cashier locked the door on them to prevent their escape?
Those store owners were not charged with false imprisonment. The cops show up and arrest the thieves and that's it.

So maybe there's some grey area there to explore what allows the storekeepers to do it and why a private party could not.

A store keeper is a private party.

It's not normally considered false imprisonment if someone inturrupts a crime and is holding the suspect for the police. Locking a conex with thieves inside and immediately calling law enforcement to come get them woukdn't normally be considered kidnapping, false imprisonment, etc., because you are doing it for a lawful reason.

This is not to he construed as legal advice, but I've been on several calls where a bad guy was being held by citizens. Sometimes with lots of extra bumps and bruises because they "resisted".

.
I call it citizens arrest

A citizen’s arrest is the detainment of a suspected lawbreaker by a private individual rather than a sworn police officer
