What did you do for your health today?

My head wasn't in it leaving work. So I chose to do some exploring in an area I hadn't ridden with a big fire road climb to start. It worked and I had a good ride. Short on mileage but some crazy punchy climbs and some good views. The second pic is where I had to ditch the bike to hike to the summit on a crazy hike path I found. I think there might be a rideable route to the top from another point so I might go back at some point for the challenge.

Been stuck at a 190lb. plateau for quite a while.
Maybe a Pasta overdose to get the metabolism Rollin again.

I stalled on my weight drop but was just trading fat for muscle. I didn’t do it but a weekly picture log helps track small gains the scale misses. Also a smart scale will show some form of fat% or BMI.
 
At my stage in the game I mostly want to feel good and keep the wrinkles to a minimum.:cool2:
Unfortunately for me, that was eating bad. Hard to have wrinkles when your skin is stretched tight, and hard to be sad when you are eating delicious treats and having lots of adult beverages. Now I feel sore most of the time, I have saggy areas, and while the food tastes good, it typically isn't as exciting or fun. I also had to cutback / pretty much eliminate edibles as the munchies get out of control.

Laid 80 bags of mulch yesterday after work, and quick 2 mile ruck with the dog.

Gym this morning at a normal time since im on vacation. Machine chest flys, incline press, shoulder press, dumbell flys, hex press, tricep pushdowns, since arm tricep extensions. Now about to dig 6 post holes by hand and set some 4x4's.
 
Short run yesterday. Watch paused about halfway through, but still wasn't what I really wanted out of the run. Hot, humid, not well fed. Oh well, shiit happens.

Plan for the morning was to get up early and flip tires, then meet up with some guys for coffee and hang out. Woke up late, so went to the coffee first. One guy came in from his run, the other guy was supposed to be a few minutes behind. Guys left, he still wasn't in. Went and found him, he was ok no issues, but did a detour for hydration. So no tire flip today but some easy trail walking.

I need to get back to the gym and working out in general, between hockey, work stress, and general not feeling the best discipline has been fleeting some lately.
 
Landmine deficit deadlift 10x100, 2x5x125, 7x125. The bar shifted while holding it and that was hard to fix while holding it.
Superset curls x front lateral raises 4x5x65
Overhead BB tricep extension 4x10x45.

It's been a while since I've been in here. I had c-spine surgery a month ago to have disc replaced in my neck. Today was my first physical therapy appointment. The therapist said all the muscles are firing (unlike prior to surgery) just super weak. That's good news. Lots of rebuilding to do, but things are moving in the right direction.
 
All my normal powerlifting nonsense.

Signed up for a meet on July 18th. Gonna get killed, basically 15 lbs either direction between weight classes and on week 2 of a 16 week block. But just gonna compete and see what it’s all about.

Only been back at it for about 15 months after a quick 20 year hiatus. Goal is a total somewhere in the 550kg range.
Basically squat in the 4’s like 440 (200kg)
deadlift around 485/500 (220-227.4kg)
bench will be the real wild card. It’s moving good right now and I’ll probably do a 275 (125kg) opener, with a 300+ goal.
