Besides this

I don't really see alot...
So dredging up and beating the dead horse that is toyota parts....

I need to do outputs f/r.
I just broke a trailgear ultimate duals rear.

So before I wade through the googe search maze, for a set of shafts, who's the go to?
And yes I am expecting to be sad this summer driving the idi around.

I don't think anything has changed, still the same options that are in the thread you posted,

Trail Gear seems to be the only one still making aftermarket rear outputs.

Marlin no longer makes their 30 spline rear output.

RCV no longer makes their rear chromoly output. After googling "rcv toyota rear output" there seems to be a couple of vendors that have the RVC output listed for sale. Not sure if it is old stock or a scam.
As for front outputs, I only remember Marlin making an aftermarket one. It was their 30 spline that the don't make anymore.

I think your options are get a Trail Gear one, find a used RCV or Marlin one, or run a stock one.

Once I get it torn down and see what all is due to get addressed, I'm going to call them...

I like how you make a new thread, but still link another thread with exactly the same topic that not even that old :homer:

What did you do to break it? Iirc, your truck is pretty mild, so I'm guessing it was axle wrap that bound the rear driveshaft?

Kinda yes, I reposted your almost 2 yr old thread....
I didn't really want to pollute your thread.
But anyways.

Absolutely ' if you can get a mod to merge this , please do so.
Or If it pleases the room, I'll hgtd (or whatever it is) no biggie....
I'm going to be sad not dd'ing this thing...

And fwiw, I literally started with...

Eta 2.o
Just noticed that the other thread you stated was for reference, was only replied to for 1 day sept. 2024...
Still we're in the same place today...

Isnt this rig running 4.10 gears? Would that have anything to do with what happened here?
I'm pretty good at keeping Toyota stuff alive, so not alot of experience with destroying outputs, but I recall you guys saying lower axle gearing takes stress off the tcase?

That's true, and yes, still on 4.10:1 gears,
I just recently went to 35's, ( eta 5 ish years ago) but it's 20 years on the original build.
It's my driver error on the wet granite, as I was struggling and most likely bounced the d.l. off the ledge, aint looked at it yet for the telltale rash...

Nla from both
Rcv and big let down crawler
Anyone else that I can call before I order from tg?

Damn fine question
Who got marlins axle breaking machin???

Are trail gear actually stronger than stock?
Debatable for sure. Up until like 2 years ago, RCV was making the outputs for Trail-Gear too, was the exact same shaft between the two companies. I heard more about people breaking those than stock rears lol. I have a video a customer sent me of an RCV output with like .005 of runout from being bent at the splines. Haven't heard or had to warranty a TG one yet since they started sourcing them not from RCV for what it's worth.

I'm 5'8" on a good day, 31" inseam and with the 35's on, the rockers are at 33" .
Not really interested in climbing up in it daily.
It's been on 4.10's for 20 + years, last 5 on 35's
I lost talent in the rain.
Not gearings fault.
Jimbo,Eric, I'm in for stock outputs...

Did you break a stock one or a Trail Gear one? If you want some stock ones, I have a few front and rear ones you can have for whatever the shipping cost is,

I run 33's with 529's after running 35's on the same truck. I like the 33's better for every day driving. I can go most everywhere offroad I could with the 35's.

Clb I wouldn't worry about a front output and just slam a used oe one in for now. I have everything you need and then some. Plus you gotta come pick up some other parts from me already. Maybe consider 4.88s down the road but just slam a output in and keep rolling.

Also if you want to just bring your busted rear case down to me we can tune it up in less than a day. I got a extra bed if you wanted to spend the night also. 🍻
