2025 Corvette ZR1, 1064hp, twin turbo

How fast did they say you were going while going the posted speed limit?

Saw my first one today.

It was not impressive in person but I own a C8 so I was expecting that.

I have always thought that they should make the Z's looks way different than the SR but they do not.

This guy owns around 60 cars and doesnt drive any of them.

Sounds like fun for him.

Not about what it looks like, it's about how it performs. At the end of the day, the target market is jorts and white New Balance wearing mid-life crisis folks who can't afford actual exotics. I just wanna see how it actually stacks up against the exotics.

Do you actually believe any of what you just said?

These cars are selling for $300k

The old man Corvette died off years ago, I rarely see people older than me.

Tell me about these actual exotics, name a model of a car, I would like to see what you are comparing them to.

I think buying a Corvette as an investment isn't a great move. Not a ton of them gain value or even retain it that great. With the amount of people buying ZR1's and ZR1X's, I'm sure after a year or two they'll be going for MSRP. I never understand people paying massively over sticker for something that's not even limited production.

Two blocks from my house is a bowling alley, on the first Sat of every month a corvette group meets. I can tell you the Jourts and New Balance crowd is alive and well.
There are about 30 of these geezers and none of them have a car more than 5 years old. All of these guys look every bit of 70 years old.

They are old and have money.

My dad is 70, wears New Balances and jorts, and has 4 Corvettes that he never drives. He is 100% the stereotype.

I know these cars probably only make it to the bowling alley and home.

I can appreciate the performance, but you just can't hide that it's a Vette, I've always been more about a low key sleeper guy and a Vette can't do that.

I just like riling up jorts and white NB wearing middle aged Corvette owners who swear to God they don't actually fit the stereotype. :flipoff2:

It is limited production though, just not Ferrari numbers.
They only allow so many orders, so if you weren't on a waiting list and don't know the right people you aren't buying one new.

It'll be just like Dodge and the "last call" Durango Hellcat. Say it's limited to get people fighting over it while producing more than you say you will. Quick research says GM increased production of ZR1's due to high demand, meaning by the end of the C8's production cycle It'll be like the Z06.

I have some bad news for you. It isnt that they died off, its that you became old and one of these....

He doesnt know that he is one them yet. It starts about 50 and goes in from there. It starts with being afraid to put gas in it and ends in jorts and polishing it behind the bowling alley talking about it being a one of one american supercar before heading off to catch the early bird special. At 52 he is at the start of that curve :flipoff2:

He just posted in a thread with him running tail of the dragon in his Corvette and in several other threads with him using it as intended. I don’t think he “is one of them yet”.
