What did you do for your ford today?

Tore down a 9", and D50. D50 chunk is getting gears and going in my 44. 9" rear is getting built. Buying a cut n' turn, uniball, beam extend kit from Threat.
Looking forward to this next phase of OJ.

no, but I did consider cutting it in half.

why in the hell is there a shock from the pinion housing to the frame

You ever seen how much a leaf sprung axle moves around under hard cornering? That's why.

Makes a fair bit of difference when you throw it into a corner (especially with something tall and with a lot of arch to it's springs like a 'sploder).

Figured it'd be something silly like trying to damp wrap.

Finally got some decent snow! Been a pretty lame winter so far. The roads were pretty worn in already but I still found a few powder spots to play in.

Got some "wheelin" in myself, sorta. Bronco's really not made to plow 2 feet of snow.
Usually do my entire neighborhoods driveways. Used to do my own street,
but they started salting this year and I spent a long time on bodywork of bronc.

Fwd progression stopped often with bronc getting sideways when pressed,
but that C6 was a trooper, rocking hard back and forth at well over idle.
Front lunchbox saved me a lot.

Getting better at plowing "stone" (buddies bronc in background doing solid axle swap, 6" lift on 36's)....

If any of you are looking for a full Bronco suspension hardware setup, this is sweet. Wish I had the cash to do it all at once.

RANT:
Why the hell is it that you can go out and buy a pre-bent weld it yourself cage for a Toyota for under $600 but if I want one for a Ranger its $3500? About ready to find a Tacoma on marketplace, hand the dude $20 to let me take a bunch of measurements of the dash and cab, and try to make a Tacoma one fit.

Etrailer hitch, they probably never figured they'd sell one. 5 of 6 bolts installed, had to fish them all through from the back. 6th one won't align, too much taper in the wing

Originally bought to hold a wheelchair, ended up not giving the car away. Needed the big box out of the garage, so it gets mounted

Bought a lot of parts for the '69.

Battle born super duty rear leaf conversion and 3" 2017 skyjacker soft rides to nix the lift block and get the sterling under there.

Gears and truetrac for the HP44 (more than enough axle for 33s - already got chromos).

Finally found a ujoint strap to fit the tail brake nv4500. Need to work up a park brake cable for trans drum to ditch the sterling drums and disc all around.
