Thanks for that. I post more detailed stuff there most the time. This seems to get the cliff notes version.Quite the productive update!
Somehow I'd missed your Instalandgram accounts until a shout out from Ultra4Jones so gladly subscribed to both accounts.
Understandable there on posting stories there, but appreciate you taking the time to share even the cliffnotes here since it doesn't expire in 24 hours. Thanks for that. I post more detailed stuff there most the time. This seems to get the cliff notes version.
Thanks lol. Making a really hard push to get it done but running out of days and the list keeps getting longer it seems.Damn! You are flying through these small projects. What did you end up using for skid plate material?
It’s nice to look back here for pictures or just see progress etc.Understandable there on posting stories there, but appreciate you taking the time to share even the cliffnotes here since it doesn't expire in 24 hours.
Thanks. Glad I painted it as I don’t know if I ever would have taken the time to take it apart later and do it. I feel like the goal is achievable if I keep chugging alongI have nothing useful to add here but ****ing sweet work man! I love watching some of these builds come together.
American Firesleeve hose wiring cable protection
High Temperature, Heat, Flame, Fire, Molten Splash, Spark, Abrasion and Wear Protection firesleeve tape rope fabric for Hose Cable Wire Tube and Pipefiresleeveusa.com
This has everything you need for hose and electrical fire sleeving. The silicone coated stuff is the best, but the regular fiberglass sleeving is still really good. If you can air gap some aluminum panels over whatever you're trying to shield, they work wonders over stick on stuff.
Damn. And it costs half of what Earls or XRP fire sleeve does and it sure looks like the exact same thing.American Firesleeve hose wiring cable protection

Where do you think they get their stuff?Damn. And it costs half of what Earls or XRP fire sleeve does and it sure looks like the exact same thing.
Just used the rustoleum gloss black in a gallon can. Thinned with acetone and added some hardener per some of the things I’ve seen online. Then sprayed through the cheap pink harbor freight gun. Sprayed no issue and laid flat. I’m happy.
I just used the cheap harbor freight pink spray gun. They are good for about 2-3 uses then I toss them. Harbor freight says a 1.4 mm tip.Whould you happen to know what size tip your spray gun has on it?
I'm going the full Rustoleum route and was just planning to roll the stuff on, but spraying looks like much better results.

I’ll get their small touch up Gun to get into the tight corners I couldn’t and once I add all the other tabs I need to.
I missed a 5:1:1/3 ratio. 10 oz paint, 2 oz acetone, 1/3 oz of hardener. Used this video as a reference.
