Believe it or not; it doesn't have that computer feature! :bert:

Have you seen/read/own this oil filter adapter?
You can use a YUGE CAT oil filter.

There’s the bypass issue that gbkeiths post brings up but also iirc the cat filter is 5 micron while the motor craft is 2 micron. Don’t hold me to those numbers but I do remember there being a fairly decent difference when I looked into this

Today I learned how to use my cruise control.:smokin: :homer:

Also learned how I got the fuel economy thingy on the screen.

And discovered temps page.
Transmission was running 205°.🤔
Just ignore all the sensors for a while.

Coworker was driving and LMTV (of all things) the other day. Wouldn't start on its own, asked if the batteries were charging "I dunno, how do I tell...yeah it's fine, it's yellow on the gauge" okay, well let me know if the it starts getting hot "which one is that? How do I know when it's bad?"

Okay, nevermind. Just don't turn it off until you get to your final destination.

Most people go their whole lives like that. Ford knows. For the first 5 years or whatever, wait until it tells you to do something and take it to the dealer :flipoff2: don't look into the menus, don't worry about the things. It'll all be good for a long time

I think that is the same dash thats in my new service truck.

What do you think of the 23+ vs the 17-22?

Newer **** just runs hotter, it's designed for it. You'd **** if you saw the egts vs the "don't go over 1250*f in your 7.3/12v" days.

I want to say mine hits 240* at 38k gross almost every day, but I'll look again.

It's been a thing forever, no idea why ford does it that way.

There are aftermarket kits to make the riverside fold down as well.

Do you have the flat floor or the cubby under the seat? My favorite part about the aluminum cab trucks is the huge flat floor when seats are flipped up.

Back before my body decided to rebel I was 6'2" 325lbs and slept curled up in the front bench of my 97 tacoma or 89 Toyota pickup on job sites waiting for my dad to show up. No one could believe I slept like that but I've always had terrible sleep at night like 3-4 hrs usually with tossing and turning and waking up at night due to back pain so I would catch like a 1hr nap like that here and there.

I'm like an honest 5'10-11" bare foot and can't stretch out in the back of an aluminum cab ford. Even diagonally, it's just not quite enough.

Which is wierd because back in that day I slept on a few 2nd gen dodge rear seats and remember fitting, but I was also like 19-20, so I was probably just to ******ed to be uncomfortable.

My dad and wife picked me up from hospital after my last surgery and I slept for the 2hr ride home in the backseat of my moms 06 tacoma double cab. I'm sure the pain killers helped but I curled up and was out better than I sleep at home.

Re: my old F-350 PSD;
I changed the oil with 15W40/got 21 to 23MPG.

When my neighbor/friend bought my truck he started using 15W30 and was getting 25MPG.
A Ford service writer gave him that tip.

Could I apply that to my new truck?

Also; thoughts/opinions on this:
