What did you do for your ford today?

Yeah, but it has twice the towing capacity, gets twice the fuel economy, significantly more comfortable, and significantly less likely to kill you.
How you think they would hold up to this? I wonder if he bent a beam or broke a coil?

****, I just got to thinking and re-watched, I know right where that is at, not far down the road from me :lmao:

I doubt he broke anything. I launched my old F150 off a driveway the same way (on purpose) and it was fine despite being way rustier.

Cop sure went out of his way to get to the road via the driveway when there was plenty of flat grass there. Georgia must really beat it into their heads to stay on pavement.

That was impressive but the truck was junk 30 seconds in. It just didn’t know it yet.

I never caught that much air but there was a speed table I used to launch my F150 off every day at about 30mph. Never had an issue related to that. I think the truck would've been fine. Maybe an already sketchy exhaust clamp would've ****ed off or something.

Yeah it does seem that way looking a little closer. Not sure if it's on the bump or not.

If you were really getting airborne and not just topping out the suspension, something would have broken after a bunch of jumps. Everything is stamped steel and flexes a ton doing **** like that but it won’t do it forever.

I wish I could still buy one of those trucks new. I had a few over the years and loved them. I had a 93ish 351 xcsb that I would love to build now.

I cratered the right front suspension parts on an 88 1/2 ton 4x4. Bent the radius arm and the RA mount on the frame. Collapsed the spring. My trajectory on the landing wasn’t so good. The bumper hit the tire, so more lawn dart less sticking the landing.

Jumped my 95 a few times and taking flat landings every time it lived a long healthy life

Definitely airborne. You could tell when the engine was free to rev. And the rear had way more down travel than the front (because I was in high school and ran a ******ed double shackle with limit straps).

I'll be the first to admit I didn't ****ing launch it like in the video but I 100% did get four wheels airborne. It did eventually crack spring hangers and destroy a rear bump stop but I think that's just normal wear and tear.

I miss the speed humps on Linden Avenue near my apartment in PA. If there wasn’t traffic, I was hitting those bitches at 50 in the B2.

leaving work if I needed a little pick me up, I would jump the berm dividing the parking lots.

I did it backwards once on a dare, that was dumb.

I removed the front drive line u-joint that I installed backwards, and installed it correctly so that the grease fitting would no longer hit the pinion causing a not so nifty vibration while driving .

:homer:

Remember kids, if you are too stunned to do it correctly the first time, you can always find time to do it over later .

Pulled the trans again to swap the converter that I thought was making noise. New one was recommended by a shop that deals with marauders and crown vics so I took their advice. Did the trans filter while it was in the air. Initial start was good, until I had the trans filled and the noise is still there, and I don’t like the 3200 stall at ****ing all. Driving the truck for a while before I pull that stall out, tired of chasing noises on that piece. Either going to find another trans to throw in it or have this one gone thru

Rear speakers are in to match the fronts. Peak highs/lows are a bit lacking as expected for four simple 6x8 2-ways on an OEM HU but the sound is very clear without breaking up (3ohm on a 4ohm radio probably helped that). I didn't go 100% on volume because I was told long ago that speakers have to break in. Even if that's a crock, better safe then sorry given my limited knowledge of this stuff. I'm just glad nothing caught fire when I lit it off.

The 7.3 and body are noisy enough that I'll address that before adding tweeters/sub/amp. I have wire to run for the inverter and fridge, and carpet. I'll probably have that all done before I die.

Of this pile?

got it running. smokes like hell and sounds like it could have a broken flex plate. but it does move. pretty pissed it has 3:55 gears but oh well.

I need that front axle...with that ratio. Have a 250 waiting on that exact thing.
