it finally clicked ... S&N fab

The guy who ran S&N was named Jason (from the old board), right? Really helpful guy....

Some cartoons.
I have seen this done a number of times.
Add a hoop, same plane the hood and make a bridge with tabs. Usually they have a through hole for the bolt removal and the top plate is less than an inch over the shock cap.

over the weekend i was able to get my first print of the ibooster. this is the first attempt at slipping a part into smaller sections to fit the print bed. i am doing another and did the splits in a different spot. we will see how that one turns out.

Chappy, did you glue that together or does it have connecting joints? Donnie messaged me about printer stuff the other day. The part looks good.

i used glue on the master cylinder because i sucked at trying to split the model. the newest one i just printed has hex shaped plugs and holes to get it together. but that is proving to be a pain in the ass. may just try dowels....

no photos but last night we messed around for an hour or so and the low pro rod end and moving the lower link a bit the coil over will be nice and low to the hood bar. not under or even but just a little bit above. so there is that.

Make sure you get the hubs, brakes and wheel/tire on both sides to flex and turn to make sure nothing hits before you fully weld them in place

So we changed The rod end today and got the shock mounted low and where it lines up up top. We decided to slug the hood rail and run a bolt right through that and to the shock. We did run out of time before we can actually check and see if the shock can live there and not get into the tire. So we're not 100% sure the shock can stay here, but next up is check that before we get too far

i totaly think this location will not work just because of the angle of the shock in relation to the center of the tire,. but that is next. who knows maybe we get lucky.

you are correct. but some thing like to over think and rethink before i go bat **** crazy. it helps not have beer at the shop because i think if i did the front clip would have been cut off. but its all good. we will get there.
