I think you may want ford’s 31 spline input shaft to bolt up to zf5? Do they exist? I think NP27x only came with 23 (dodge auto), 29 (dodge manual) and 34 (ford) spline input shafts.
depends on transmission application and year but yes i do have the 31 spline input shaft i need thanks for stating what i already said. You do have to swap to the 31spline to bolt to a zf5 factory 5r110 is the 34

31spl was used behind every 4R100.

Well got a batch of parts, unfortunately the motor mounts wont be here until friday… but the wheels are showing up today. I ended up making $1500 back so far parting out the 89 minus the drivetrain so thats sick! Got the engine bay pressure washed along with the motor and trans in the snow storm sunday, i knkw i live on a mountain but this spring weather has been wild! Hopefully my kdp kit gov springs and 191 delivery valves get here soon too.

Got the methods mounted up, green trucks going to scrap today, ended up making way more than expected parting it out. Ended up ordering a swap helper tach helper and have figured out a ton of the wireing to make the cambus system work so i have gauges and a tach for ac cruise and to trigger the factory lift pump. Got the trans cleaned up. Planing on sealing the f/r mains oil pan and timing cover as well as doing the kdp. Then im going to put my governor springs, 191 delivery valves abd injectors. Then she goes in

Probably too late, but if you haven't scrapped the truck yet I have a friend who may be interested in the lights.
He was looking for some to replace the glazed over ones on his truck.

Finally got a couple days off (1/2 pf today and tomorrow) that its not pouring rain hopefully ill have it running tomorrow. Got the trans and motor married the other day abd stabbed them in after work. Take the t case to a buddys shop tonight to swap the input somewhere not in the dirt
 
Who did you get the motor mounts from? Did you need to modify the frame or ac compressor for clearance?
Theyre from mike fuks on fummins tech fb page. They fit good but i like the ones from diesel conversion specilties better on the old truck. That being said im using his mounts and ac mount because i wanted to keep the factory ac system and alternator.
 
Got the injectors in, let me tell you just buy one of the pullers makes it super easy in the truck! Also did the delivery valves. Got the intake setup 4” silicone 90* 4” stainless factory 6.4 downpipe 90* bend to a pod in the factory air box. The shifter fits great with the factory flip down cupholder removed. Started plumbing up the cooling system just gotta hook up the degas tank and heater hoses. Its getting tighter but very doable. I had trouble with finding the right belt but ill try to get all the part numbers posted here soon.

Friend of mine has an f550 dump with a 12v Cummins in it. I’ll see if he’ll send me some pics. I think it’s like a 2008.
 
Well boys i ended up swaping the np273 to manual shift with the wild horses kit, was worth the $120 to get it done in 1/2hr. Used my factory 89 shifter with a shortened handle and extended the shift rod that goes to the case lever 1 7/8”. The truck has been amazing. Im averaging 16.5-17mpg towing. Been dragging the buggy all over with it. Going to a powerdriven 60/64 aggressor turbski in place of my stock hx35 to support my fueling mods. Right now the egts get a little spicy towing(can see 1300* fairly easy). Went down to browns camp last weekend and reiter every sunday since shes been done. Im so glad i did the swap i would highly highly recommend to anyone.

I currently have basically the same truck. Blown 6.4 engine. Way to clean to throw away. How much time would you say you had in doing the install? Did you make the air conditioner work? Any annoying lights on the dash or other things that’d be a bother?

I got lucky with my Cummins swap. I found a guy selling a p-pumped 12v and a ZF-6 out of his 2005 Ford.
He had moved to Commiefornia and couldn't get it registered so he put the 6.0 back in it.
I don't remember exactly, but I paid about $6k or so for all of it. It was a bolt in deal that had absolutely everything I needed.

You can get rid of all lights with an hp tuners tuner, but i aint tripping everything but my trans temp and cruse are working. I gotta wire up my tach helper still but i cant find my cummins crank sensor pig tail🙃 all in all id say im about 12k into the truck
