    Sore **** Deals

Home Depot has King of the Hill WD-40. I've been a PB Blaster guy for over a decade now but was planning on getting one of these regardless. My Program Tech grabbed me one this afternoon. 😎

Welding safety things to be aware of

I had a solo disco party after accidentally shooting brake cleaner through the intake of my propane torpedo heater. It'd almost be worth repeating if it wasn't so dang hard to breath too.

Civilian Marksmanship program why did it "stop"?

The Partizan Garand stuff is just about all that's been shot out of my IHC since I got it. No issues or complaints so far.

    Portable tool kit

I mentioned it in that thread I linked above, but the Craftsman VersaStack stuff is comperable to Milwaukee's Packout stuff. VersaStack is compatible with Dewalt's T Stack stuff too. $100 Craftsman set, with some extras, and a 2 drawer VersaStack box full of pliers, tape, zip ties, etc. Throw...

    Portable tool kit

Option #3's drawer slides won't survive rock crawling if they're anything like Craftsman's similar metal box. Also: https://irate4x4.com/threads/trail-tool-kits.398523/page-2

"Im not saying you have to buy the warranty".....

I had a similar dip**** local. I'd contacted every dealer within 300 miles of me. I'd already test drove at the other local dealer. Knew what I wanted, they only came in 3 trim levels, the only other options were color and sunroof. Wasn't like there were a lot of options to choose from...

    New phone

Instead of a swapable battery, how about a phone with inductive wireless charging (pretty common these days) and a magnetic battery pack? Example: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Magnetic-Slim-B2C/dp/B099284SRR Jewels is still rocking an iPhone 13 Mini and refuses to upgrade because...

Anyone in or near Indianapolis? Ashke is stuck there with a badly broken vehicle

I sat through some USDA/NRCS recruitment with some college students last week. District Conservationist giving the presentation, not even someone typically on the HR/Recruitment side of things. They highlighted how awesome their health insurance is. They didn't mention retirement, but the GS...

Sharing a well with the neighbor's cows?

You're out west with wack-a-doodle water laws/regs and at a much higher elevation so no way is this an apples-to-apples comparison. However, my grandparents, ran a 4 person household, clothes washer, shower, toilets, etc. no dishwasher though, about 40-50 head of cows, and a machine shop with 3...

Buying a dog seems crazy these days

Vast majority of our dogs were ones that just showed up one day and stayed. Only dogs we ever pursued were working dogs, Australian Cattle Dogs (Blue/Red Heelers). There's been at least one Heeler on the farm as long as there's been cattle on the farm. In my 40+ years of existence, only once...

I too have used Overture without issues, it's just caused me more issues than not.

    The 3D printer thread

Overture PETG has been hit or miss with me. That was the first filament I ever printed on the old CR-10 V2, fresh out of the box, Cura slicer settings from some random Reddit post. Lulled me into a false sense of accomplishment it worked so well. Then I learned about humidity, cold air...

    The 3D printer thread

I mostly use their PETG, the Creality PETG settings under Generic on Orca Slicer work great for K1 Max.
