Sarah Palin loses House seat

So did her buddy McCain. I’m getting tired of female politicians anyway. The screeching and virtue signaling is so typical I don’t listen because it’s so rare to get a coherent thought. Almost as bad as the men.

I want a break from party politics. A moratorium on new laws and taxes until they balance the budget and get the debt under control. Term limits. End the renaming of streets and schools and holidays and post offices and just do their damn jobs.

I've always felt she was considered a **** candidate because the media tell us she is ****, not because her positions or the actions she did when in office.

In the world of political figures life choices, she isn't any worse than any other candidate, except she's pretty, and an easy target.

She was one of the original targets of the Lame-Stream-Media's character assassinations; taking things she said out of context and/or misquoting what she actually said in order to make her sound stupid. For instance, IIRC, she was misquoted as having said that she could "See Russia from her house" when what she said was something about Alaska being the only state where you could literally see Russia (which there is an Island that is part of the State of Alaska, from which you can actually see Russian soil, another island).

The way she spoke (her accent and idioms) was also highlighted by the press and used to ridicule her as being unintelligent.

Ironically, the same could be used against the current VP, but for some reason the same press is giving her a free pass.

Also, there was the media quoting a SNL character and attributing it to Palin.

She wasn't. she resigned as governor due to the cost of all the lawsuits she was getting thrown at her. Once she was gone they suddenly stopped. She hasn't been in office in years.

This was a dumb election anyway. They all run for the same seat again in November.

Her opponent played up being a centrist other than abortion. Too bad she’ll get used when she gets to DC.
This election is only to finish the existing term of a dead representative. Normal election will be in November.

Some certainly was.
I read a lot of her statements. Written was ok but she could gaff it up when talking. Wasn’t real good when put on the spot.
Did like many of her ideas though. Some not so much.

Sarah Palin was kind of the origin of the modern day "meme Republican" style candidate. Basically a caricature. The right wing version of "the squad". Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Boebert, etc.

This is what I remember about her. She was still dumber than a box of dog **** when put in front of a microphone too. I don't know what made people think she was going to win.

It's Alaska rules not necessarily the republicans, this time. The primary had like 40 people running. top 4 vote getters move to the final. The independent dropped out after placing 4th leaving 1 dem and 2 republicans.
