This is Canadian stats, but, if the government confiscated every penny of wealth (not just their money, their entire net worth) from every single billionaire in Canada and distributed it equally amongst all 38 million people; each person would get less than $8000. Eight grand...not enough to pay for rent for a year, or buy anything but a used economy car, or put someone through school for a year, or barely renovate a kitchen.

Therefore, taxing the rich won't fix a damn thing...but it will drive those billionaires and their businesses with hundreds of jobs out of the country. Socialists are so stupid.
 
You seem to forget that the money comes from the government, the government will eat the rich and feed the poor.

As of August 2020, 15 of the top 500 billionaires in the world were Canadian, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index published in August 2020. Several Canadian individuals/families that hold multiple citizenships have a net worth exceeding C$1 billion, although are not listed as Canadians by the aforementioned publications.

so its not the same way here compared to there..

You realize Canada has roughly 1/10th the population of the US? If Canada has 15 of the top 500 billionaires, then that would mean the US could have about 150 and the ratios would be similar? Looking at the numbers, the US has about 175 of the top 500 billionaires, meaning that yes, there's a few more per capita than in Canada, not vastly more.

Most importantly there is NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGHT TO FUND YOUR LITTLE ****ING COMMUNIST IDEALS.

No, seize the business and other assets. Give them to the people, via the government. Seize the land to free the farm workers as well.

I've read estimates from 100 billion on the low end to 300 billion on the high end. I did my math with 300 billion.

I'm sure this same calculation would hold relatively true in the US though. I see a 3.4 trillion number for US billionaires...over 330 million people in the US, still only $10k each.
 
But 8000 canuckistani copeks is only like $82.43 USD so the comparison isn't all that great. :flipoff2:

all of his net worth is tied up in warehouses and infrastructure that is basically worthless on resale
the only ones with need for it are his direct competitors, and if his business is being broken up, they're not gonna be doing well either
