I have a friend in the NYPD who says that after 9/11 a firetruck was found full of goods from the stores under the WTC site. Has anyone heard about this?

This is important stuff, given the current climate of things. :homer:

It was put there by the albino crocodiles that live in the NYC sewer system...

Tons of stuff was shipped to lower Manhattan after the Towers collapsed. Most of it was to aid in the rescue recovery efforts and some people got some sticky fingers on things meant for the effort.

i know several boot/ workwear companies sent multiple tractor trailers of goods for the workers doing the steel removal and debris cleanup, iron workers, laborers and operators. A lot of that stuff was snatched up by NYPD, PA, and FDNY.

Several electronics companies sent loads of computers, monitors radios and other equipment to help keep track of the effort and to better help communication. Which was also snatched up by some people it was not meant for.

i have not heard of this fire truck before but it is possible this could be the case.

So much stuff was donated and sitting around it was ridiculous.

Thats just....heartbreaking. and infuriating. :mad3:

You literally live in the New York suburbs and think this is newsworthy? NYC is a 3rd world country when it comes to bribery, graft, and appropriations (coming soon crime). I did some for a family company a while ago and the son lived in Manhattan. What is expected as the cost of doing business there blew my mind.

Cops talking **** about firefighters?

Say it ain't so.

What your cop buddy probably didn't tell you is that they confiscated all of it and put half of it into evidence.
