Bank robbery and shootout today

What's better? Asking for a friend.
Jugging, aka robbing someone leaving an ATM. Good chance they’re not paying attention, and a fair chance they’re not armed. You may only get a couple hundred bucks, but that’s enough to buy a rock for the night.

Scams or credit card fraud. Or just mugging people that look wealthy for their cards or bit of cash. Animator seems to know about that one. Canada is pretty cashless, if somebody is carrying $100 in cash that's a good haul, most people have between $5 and $35. But almost all credit cards can tap $250 no problem, so you can run them up fairly quick. Not saying that's a great idea either, but you're probably not going to get shot, since there's almost no authorizations to carry issued in the country. Actual credit card fraud (skimming), ****, never gonna even see a court room for that, and you can just buy the tools to do it for way less than what a couple illegal handguns would cost.

Edit, obviously there's a ton of other ways to make money in crime for low risk. Robbing banks is decidedly high risk. That was all my point was. :lmao:

Depends on your perspective. 10k is A LOT of money to some people.
You'd be lucky to get that out of their registers. They drop it constantly. If you need more than a few hundred bucks they need to get it from lockup. They hit the panic and you're not getting that. Most people in the bank aren't getting cash, they're depositing cheques, paying bills, or trying to get credit. Every time I go in with or for a couple K they act like I'm some sort of mafioso.

I like how **** puppet Truedough called it a shooting, not a bank robbery where the perps got shot/killed.
He's such a piece of ****, he will say anything for his narrative so he can disarm, harass, or financially ruin the law abiding gun owners.

I was looking for the same link to attach.

Im just wondering how dear leader is going to try to swing this to go after more of us law abiding gun owners.
the article mentioned the suspects were wearing body armor so they might go after that, not sure one the laws up there about that stuff

You need a PAL (firearms license) to buy it in BC, unless you have a commercial reason (security, armoured car service, etc). BC also prohibits armouring vehicles without permit. This was all because the gangbangers in Hongcouver liked to decrease their chances of being killed by rival gangs, so they were always wearing it, and the then government made a big deal about how they were a public danger with it. I don't remember how they even spun that so it even sounded like it made sense.

I could see them pushing for a ban or needing a license for it across Canada.

Different between all the provinces, prohibited in some, legal with a license in some, free for all in others.

I can get level 3 or 4 with my PAL here in BC.
So far. Like you say.

Different provinces have different laws on body armour.
I been looking at getting a carrier and level 3 steel.

edit: Too slow to respond.

Weed dispensaries and their couriers. Cash business because banks wont touch em in a lot of places. Plus if youre gonna go rouge, you can grab a little something while youre at it to take the edge off.

Dumb ****s. Robbing banks isn't where it's at anymore. Not enough cash on hand, along with drop boxes, time lock vaults, and panic buttons. It's just way too risky to ever make sense.
Banks don’t have any cash
Plus you get every cop for miles around looking for you .

Credit card fraud is a big nothing burger for the cops . They won’t even write a report unless you scream and yell and demand it .
And getting several thousand worth of merch on a credit card is easy.

Hell you can even buy nice computers at Best Buy’s website and have it shipped to a Amazon drop box using someone’s cell phone account if you can guess their password . I know that cause it happened to me. $2,600 laptop, absolutely zero risk of the cops catching you.
Smash a car window and get a woman’s purse , you just hit the jackpot , a dozen credit cards you can max out in stores or online before they even notice it’s gone .

Now that the cards have the touch less rfids , a rfid reader in your backpack is just as good as robbing a bank , with zero risk of the cops giving a **** at all.

Sorry for the feelingsbook link

Pretty sad ****ing day when the regular cops in Victoria, not even Mounties, have more balls than the police in Uvalde Texas. Over a bank robbery.

My neighbors own two of them, they just got back from Tahiti and don't seem to work much. They also just got a hot young nanny for their kids, seems like a mistake. Unless it works out. :flipoff2:

Guess I just live differently/in a different area. I just walked into the bank the other day and got $7500 cash to buy silver and gold off someone who needed the cash more than the silver and gold. No special trips to the vault for more $$. It was all in her drawer. I already had about $800 on me.

It's legal here. So that's out. Colter is right though. Young dealers, high school age. They like to flash cash and nice things, and aren't likely to be affiliated.

If you have a gun you can rob a bank, if you have a bank you can rob the town

But bank would not be my first choice. To high profile compared to cash on hand. Whoever said CC theft is right. Low risk, most police don't even understand the crime much less care to investigate. Until you get big enough for the FBI to care its pretty safe. Or you can just steal slightly under the california shoplifting limit several times a day and sell it on ebay. No one will care

Oof, shot over the bow towards Texas?

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued a statement on social media addressing the incident.

“Like many people across the country, I am shocked and saddened by the violence in Saanich … I’m keeping the police officers who were injured in today’s shooting – and their colleagues who also rushed towards danger to keep people safe – in my thoughts,” he wrote.

No. I meant knocking them over and robbing their couriers.
