How the hell do you clean out a bathroom sink drain that is not removable? It has a cap that you push to close and push again to open. It does not come off. There is a 3/16" gap for drainage.

Tried different kinds of Drano but it does't remove the **** stuck beneath the cap. Can't get to it from below.

Chainsaw? TnT? Bacon grease?

Off hand; neighbor had standing water that froze. Had to snake it & ice came out into the septic pit. Yup, in bathroom too-

Unscrew the nut holding the rod that goes into the tailpiece that connects to the stopper to the stopper rod.

Unscrew that nut and slide it and the rod back. The stopper will thin come out the top. When you reinstall make sure the rod goes back into the slot at the bottom of the stopper. It has to be aligned just right.

That's the first thing I checked for but there is not one on the drain pipe. Tried unscrewing the cap but that **** won't come off without damaging it.

I will try a drain snake. The opening is pretty small though.

Yes those pop up drains unscrew. It threads into the bottom of the strainer, i would be willing to bet yours is oxidized in real good. Post pics for more useless information you probably don't need.

Toothpaste and hair make a nasty sludge that builds up on the stopper stuff you can't see. Tear that pos out and replace it with something that can be disassembled and reassembled. For other blockages in the trap and further down get you a "black ****" that screws onto a garden hose. Insert and turn on water supply to hose.

It unscrews try harder. That style always gets plugged up I would rip it out and install something that dosent get plugged as easy. I never used the stopper so I replaced all of mine with basic strainers. Haven’t had a problem since.

I'll get some vice grips on it when I get home. Its pretty small and I can't really get a grip.
