And there's actually gonna be a girl at a prog rock show

Kidding aside, Anika Nilles is a phenomenal drummer in her own right, and while I'm sure a lot of fans will have mixed feelings about it, I don't doubt she'll do justice to Peart's playing.

i would doubt it. i mean, how can anyone replace arguably the best drummer ever.

I saw them in Edinburgh in 83. I like how I remember them.

No

RUSH have recruited Anika Nilles to serve as the band's drummer on their North American tour in 2026.

The German-born Nilles first rose to prominence on YouTube in the early 2010s and has since toured with Jeff Beck and released several solo albums with her band, Nevell.

I think it's great. Sounds like they are doing it for the right reasons - they love to play music and have fun. I've seen RUSH a few times and they always looked like they were having a blast. Still so sad that Neil Peart is no longer with us, but he will not be forgotten.

If she was good enough for Jeff Beck, she's good enough for anyone.

Rush is worth it to see live. I have no clue how Geddy can still rip that high tenor, but he still can.
