In, sitting here nursing a new knee, I will say this though that the pain is nowhere near what I was expecting. Porkchops for dinner, wife is making deviled eggs. Not sure what else. Watching episode 1 of season 5 of Virgin River, she's into it, I'm just along for the ride.

Decided it's too late in the year to start a building project, so I started looking for a fifth wheel. Retired teacher from here has a 30 footer with three slide outs makes it a very nice place. Started working on moving the utillites into place. I haven't priced electrical equipment in years a overhead power pole I used to be able to buy the parts for $500 is almost 4 times that now! gping to have to dig into my shed to find as much as I can!
 
Checking in, still on vacation, but back on the property.

Oregon was nice, I wish I could have brought some of the weather back with me. Our trip was mostly uneventful. We broke in the new trailer on this trip. I found several broken things inside when we arrived, most results of crappy construction. I just finished fixing the inside moulding around the slide out. I guess the manufacturer hasn’t heard of glue and screws :shaking:.

The new trailer has a “outdoor kitchen“. It’s a small fridge and slide out griddle. I hate the griddle, I’m looking into one or two burner options to replace it.

I basically have the trailer ”reset” for another outing. This time we don’t want to have to share with family members during the day, one of the drawbacks to being in the main center of camp. Our spacious bathroom was a hit with the elders. At least we had full hookups the whole time :grinpimp:

We had our usual Friday steaks and baked potatoes yesterday, we’re a little burned out on potluck meals. Not sure what to do for dinner tonight, maybe a tritip and fries? :homer:

It’s a little early for rum&coke (weaning myself off vacation mode). I think I’ll put a dent in the ice cream first.

I am ****ed! I know Dixie power is setting a trap! Took almost two days to drive a 5/8" x 8' ground rod! I have a sneakiy gut feeling that I need a second rod.... My cheep ass Bauer / Harbor freight SDS hammer drill is begging for mercy!

Got up early and ran the dogs to the groomer and got on the phone with the .gov. Hours later and no progress at all, not one bit, typical .gov follow a phone tree in a circle, finally get a live person who then proceeds to transfer me back to the beginning of the tree but in some language I don't speak.:shaking:

GF took care of the errands and when she got back it was beers by the fire time. Sun came out and it got too hot so back inside we go, it's time to cook some dinner anyway. I'm thinkin' wings and jalapeno poppers with some home cut fries might hit the spot tonight. Big yardwork day tomorrow so probably hit the rack early tonight.

did you put a lump on the end so it makes a bigger hole than the rod's diameter?
 
Already in.

Got home, went and picked up the guns from the gun sitter (yea yea, don't want them at home with the daughter when we're out of town regardless), exchanged some bad beer (lagunitas ipa), killed a few or 3 of those and went out and pooper scooped and chased the puppy around. I'm already pretty ****ed up somehow and the wife is already picking out drunk matt projects around the house. So I'll have a few more.
 
Relaxing after a long week. Daughter has some friends over and they made some pumpkin pie and some other treats. They are having fun downstairs. It’s nice hearing them have fun.

Looks like some of the Eldora World 100 is on YouTube, so watching that.
 
In. Been a long, ****ty ****ing week.

Thankfully last night watching my parents house while they're out of town. Cant wait to go home tomorrow. Haven't slept for **** all week and can't even enjoy sitting around the house because all these dip**** neighbors just let their kids running around screaming til the sun goes down. I'd have gotten my ass beat for making this much noise as a kid. We had to walk our asses out into the woods if we wanted to act like that.
 
Well we tied the all time record for most days over 110* at 53, and Saturday, Sunday and Monday look to be 110+ as well. It's ****ing hot and people are pissy and aggressive. Damn near had a 50mph t-bone right behind me when the dip**** ran a left turn red light, and the car coming straight ran his red light. I was already in the intersection so made it through just before it turned red. Both those ****ers would have deserved a bit of airbag action. Seriously, wait for the green, it's only a minute or two.

In. Took my kayak out most days after work. I think it's supposed to rain the next few days so it will probably be an inside activities weekend. Probably going to stock up on hurricane supplies in case that monster in the Atlantic decides to head west. Turns into to much of a zoo when everyone decides to prep the night before. But for now, dinner.
