I bought a bunch of end mill bits, new Milwaukee cordless blower & sawzall plus new vice grips. Got a new evolution steel blade for $60 too at a local swap meet this past weekend

Today I bought an indexer with a stack of indexing plates plus a handful of new end mill bits to boot. FB MP find. I beat another guy out by getting there first.

2 sets of Daytona 3 ton jack stands - Hobo Freight had a sale ($28 ea)

45 piece titanium metric tap and die set

Axle nut socket set (metric)

Icon 3/8" breaker bar

Irwin magnet tool holder x2 (12")

Capri XL wrench set (incoming)

Megapro ratcheting screwdriver (incoming)

A few other random things I needed for the garage supplies...

I was at one of our local hydraulic hose making guys shop and while waiting on a hose to be made, I looked at all the stuff he puts out for suckers like me to buy.

So sucker me bought an air hose blow gun kit. This thing has a bunch of different tips you can screw onto the trigger / handle end. It’s even has a tire chuck adapter :smokin: I like the verity of tiny tips for things like jet blow outs.

Yeah he got me

1/4 impact gave up the ghost after almost 10 years so picked up a new one. Went for the stubby 4" model as that's what the store I stopped in ended up having in stock

Before that I googled it to see what was the latest and greatest and SomeGuy video was the first that popped up comparing the various impacts.

Well that's pretty awesome...the 850 is a solid choice

Since my prior post:

10" Knipex Cobra pliers added recently.

Lang 971 thread chaser kit coming today.

Two Astro Pneumatic ratchets coming in as well (one a 3/8 drive in 1/4 size, other one 1/2 drive in 3/8 size).
Both will come in handy with some projects I have in mind.

Ordered 90tooth Tekton ratchets in longer lengths, wanted more leverage vs standard length (non flex head and no quick release). Should get these by Saturday...
1/4 drive in 9" length
3/8 drive in 12" length
1/2 drive in 18" length

Having gone air tool route at first, followed by the cordless route after, I still use older ratchets I bought close to 20 years ago.
I look forward to using these, not the one to abuse my ratchets so they should last me a good long while.

Next up will be Astro nano impact socket sets in 3/8 and 1/2 flavors.
Perhaps Knipex Twin Grip pliers added into the mix.

I have been steadily going through my tool stockpile/seldom used tools.

Working on getting a friend tooled up, rest will end up being donated.

That appears like a quality set. You did well.

Picked up a 5hp 3 phase motor for my rotary phase converter project today

My Astro ratchets came in earlied today.

Here is a 3/8 drive long in 1/4 size, compared to a composite 3/8 that I picked up at Napa long ago.

Here is Astro 1/2 drive in 3/8 body.
Compared to raised panel 1/2 drive Craftsman ratchet.

Also compared to a 3/8 round head Craftsman from '71.

Rescued these Mac angle wrenches from a ratty toolbox along with a pile of random cutters. They were in much worse shape from the mice being all over them, and two of the wrenches are missing. I've been asked to look into demoing the shed / barn with my mini-ex so I'll dig around more during that time hoping to find the rest. Old farm buildings often hide the neatest things.

Ran all the stuff through EvapoRust and cleaned it up some as it was all much much worse. Who has B&S taper and needs some cutters?

Also, the other recent tool purchase was this Radial arm drill. 4x9 with powered feeds, and powered column rise.

B&S stuff fetches decent $$ on ebay. I have a crate of it that came with some other stuff I bought, just haven't gotten around to listing it yet.

What's that one tool holder on the bottom center? Looks like NMTB - 30 or 40 taper?

Tekton ratchets came in.
Look forward to putting these to work this coming week...

These and Astros will be go to ratchets going forward, sort of semi retiring the ones I have been using for the past 15 years or more...

That round head fine tooth Craftsman is from 1971, want to save it up for whomever gets it after me. Keep that timeline going...

I used mine to cut a bunch of rebar a few weeks ago knowing it'd be rough on the blade. Tried using a grinder, but needed to do about 40 straightish cuts in 3/4" rebar.

Had in mind the Chyna blades were $40ish, so oh well.

Your post reminded me to order one. Last one I bought was in 2016 for $71. It's $93 now.
Ouch.

I think its a 40. My Cinci is a 50 so I have no use for it.

I am going to list some of these on eBay then and see what goes. I have some Collis quick change stuff with MT2 shanks. Uncertain if I want to keep it for the Radial arm or just sell it. I am finding myself in the shop less and less these days for some reason.

So, way back in 1990, I bought a full set of Mac angle wrenches 3/8” to 1 1/2” for $250 from a good friend of mine who passed away 4 years later. This set sold for $500 new at the time. Around a decade ago it was over $1,000 new. Cool find.

As posted in the rapey SnapOn thread in chit chat, SO 32oz ballpeen deadblow hammer and 9" Talon pliers.

Also my Tekton picks came in, all I had was those free HF orange ones, these are a lot sturdier and larger - made in US to boot.

These and Astros will be go to ratchets going forward
Let us know how you like the Astros after you get to play with them. I've had them in my Amazon cart for months and need a reason to hit buy.

I've been slowly grabbing 84 tooth gearwrench ratchets as they come up on sale. I'm really happy with them compared to my craftsmans

Astros are very nice D Nelly.

Used 3/8 drive just yesterday, it spins smooth and quick release works with no issues. Anvils are solid, no play in mine.
For the money spent I have no complaints.

I ordered them from JB Tools, they had better price vs everyone else.
I did also order Lang 971 thread chaser kit at the same time, that will come in handy going forward.

That all combined got me over their $99 for free shipping - they use Fedex just FYI.

Here’s my set I bought in 1990

Man! Those are nice! A few of mine have the chrome peeling off in some spots and the missing ones are on eBay for like $50 each right now.
I am going to scour the farm property next time I am there to hopefully find the missing ones. Then again, they were all scattered all over so they may be gone totally.

I used them recently to break some lines free on an excavator control block without having to take all of the lines across the block loose, it was very very nice! I would like to find a set of the 90 degree fitting nut sockets too eventually. Or buy some hobo freight ones and mill the slots into them.

Those are good wrenches. The cheap offset stuff isnt worth owning.

A set of weatherhead sockets is pretty handy to have as well. Used to use em alot on 90° fittings
