I'm looking around the South East (I'm in East Tn) for an old Savage 840 or 340 in .223. Yeah, I know there's alot better options but I have an 840 in 30-30 and I just love that little rifle.

Thanks...

I've got saved searches for those and the and the Stevens 322/325 in .30-30 on Gunbroker. Haven't actually bought one but I look at them often.

FIL claims he had a Remington "700" in .30-30 he regrets selling. My guess is it was a 788, I wasn't aware of bolt action .30-30s before him telling me about them a few years ago, and found the Savage/Stevens while looking for what gun he remembered owning.

The USOG fella on YouTube has a pretty eclectic collection, he's said positive things about the 340/840 in the past too.

Revelation actually made one too. I've had the 30-30 for quite a long time and really like it.

I get questioned about it all the time when I take it to a range.

I've found a few on armslist.com but they've always been along ways away.

I've got a Savage 340 in .30-30 myself, and it's such a joy to shoot. There's something about the feel of those rifles that just can't be beat.
A while back, I was in the same boat looking for a specific caliber and stumbled upon a site called BulkMunitions. It ended up being a great find because they had a solid selection and the prices were decent. Maybe give it a look for ammo once you find your rifle.

This is an odd response. That website you mentioned only sells ammo, not oddball guns. Also, it’s not like .223 is hard to find.
