Zero Turn Mowers- Good, Bad, Expensive....

Yes, obviously. I'm talking yard stuff here. This was a perfectly flat well maintained horse pasture, that after a season of mowing with the zt looked just like the rest of the yard. I'm not bailing off in the woods and cutting an atv trail with it.

Bush hog/ rotary cutters have their place. My point was in a yard scenario, the zt is faster than a tractor with more cutting width.
I don't believe you. :flipoff2:

Year later, just put another set of self sharpening blades on. They stayed sharp the entire time.

Are you mowing a rock quarry?

Well in Florida he’s probably mowing 1-2x weekly 11 months out of the year, so probably like 3x the duty of anyone in a climate somewhere with actual winter/ annual snowfall over 6”.

And don't forget between the weekly mows, the grass is like knee high. Also the acre under oak trees is half sand half knee high weeds.

No idea how many hours. Someone left the key on for about 100hours:homer:

That’s usually how my blades look after one season. I have boulders everywhere. We don’t just grow grass, we grow rocks, too. :flipoff2:

How tough is the grass there? I work at a tractor dealership and we sell and service yard equipment. Rocks, gravel, tree stumps, are not considered "mowing".

And don't forget those oak roots sticking up 4" out of the ground while you got the deck set at 3.75"

I used gator blades they seemed harder when sharpening compared to normal ones.

I'm running the Oregon Gator G6 blades and I hope I get that kind of wear out of them that you have before I bend them up.
