Youtube sucks now?

Apparently, I have to "sign in to confirm I'm not a bot", even though I'm on the website proper :confused:

They already scrape all my agent data/computer profile. WTF would I sign in?


What's the next thing to come along to replace that piece of shit?
 
I use brave to watch youtube and its ad free. I do have script or something I put in at one point that I got from arfcom and it works perfect.
 
Something happened to Facebook this weekend and all their suggested ai created shit disappeared for a bit. It was only ads and content from pages I followed. It was quite pleasant. Now it’s back to nothing I care about.
 
Yeah it pisses me off. I like watching random videos without signing in so it doesnt fuck my suggestions up.

So much this. The streaming stuff (netlax, amazoon, etc) have that stuff turned up so much that the show options end up super niche and never change. Watch one show and all your options are just like that, so you pick another one and down the rabbit hole you go. "We refine your options based on your viewing history. It is a feature!" No, it sucks. And most have no way to turn it off or reset to factory.

If you dump your google history, it resets youboob to factory. But you also lose logins and a bunch of other stuff. I really dont understand why they dont allow you to turn that crap on and off. It wouldnt change the ads, no matter what you get ads for crap you dont care about. What it does do is start limiting my viewing as you get to the point that it only gives you the same stuff every time you turn it on, so you lose interest and either find another channel or just turn it off. Seems self defeating for a video service.

What i do, and its counterproductive, is i thumbs down all the random videos i watch so it doesnt fuck everything up. Which is stupid, i watch a hurricane helene video i actually liked, but i have to fuck the creator for my own convenience.

I dont care about the ads because i pay for premium, i watch youtube instead of cable so its worth it for me
 
I learned from guys on here that you can delete specific videos from your history so it does not fuck up your algorithm. For some reason all YouTube wanted to show me for a while was hot chicks trying on transparent clothing. :lmao:

+1 on brave browser blocking all the ads too
 
If you sign in and turn off your watch history it doesn't fuck up your recommendations if you watch other stuff.

Also YouTube is more and more annoying.

My favorite is the girl who walks on a treadmill with her titties bouncing “to show how the clothes look in motion”.

Watched a bunch of those then got recommended chicks doing tutorials on how to shave their cooch. Bald vagenes all over YouTube.
 
If it’s anything like the transparent try ons it’s basically an advertisement for their onlyfans not making money from videos on YouTube.

I was watching a video of a plate shear. Scrolling the search suggestions came up sheer dress house cleaning. Well i couldn't just scroll past that and let it auto play. Now all my suggestions are similar near 35% videos. It's nice but it's curated a totally new algorithm for me off those auto play thumbnails.

Fuck the adds when you actually want to see something. I hate your product now.

The ads suck and have increased to an overly annoying rate, then add in the sponsorships from the creators, and plugs from the sponsors ads.

You can't escape the creator ads, kills the enjoyment, but business is business.
 
At least 1/2 my comments get axed by censorship on YT
