Not directly, but working for Bill Graham we had the Outlaws and Dire Straights, (separately) at Cal Expo. Skynard crashed before I was out of HS, and Cream was much before my time.
If I had done up this list in the early 80s I might have had George Thorogood and the Destroyers self titled first album in my top 5.

That's a really well recorded album, super simple, few mics, few if any overdubs, the boys playing live in the studio.
