Can anyone identify this chipper for me. I borrow it fairly regularly from my wife’s cousin. He never wants cash and I’d like to maintain it a bit so I can keep borrowing it. It has decades of paint over it and not sure what color it’s supposed to be. It’s got a Ford straight 6 in it. That’s pretty much all I know. You can see it here. 36” tires on the samurai for reference.

That’s what you’re supposed to do, right!? 💪🏻💪🏻

I've always lived by the two rules my grandfather taught me about borrowing tools:
  • Return them in as good or better shape than when you borrowed them.
  • Replace them if you fuck them up - again, with as good or better.
I rarely loan out tools because few others seem to have heard of those rules.

Your dad grew up a century ago when getting ahead required different behavior. There's a big fuckin difference between renting something from a rental yard and borrowing a tool from a coworker.
