I know the gaming world in the west is fully infected with DEI, making games for the "Modern Audience" but I should not be surprised hollywood is doing this with the new harry potter series. While I think that you can swap in someone of a different gender or race for someone, i still think Idris Elba would be ab awesome 007 because he can absolutely carry that character but you know they are going to put race,gender bla bla bla ahead of talent and I doubt that this will be any good. Also Harry Potter is still all over the place in reruns so I think it will be even harder to cast people who are completely different.

No issue with someone like Elba taking a James Bond roll as the traditionally changes people anyway. Like Jack Ryan, Batman, etc.

Just redoing something and changing the characters to a different color for no real reason is just dumb, virtue signaling.

Very few of you have probably seen it, but Disney redid The Lightning Thief into a TV show and made one of the main characters black. It completely changed the story. They also made Chron, the trainer of heroes Greek mythology, and fucking Zeus black.

You mean you like Sean Connery. I too have liked him in such roles as Bond, Zardoz, The Rock, Highlander, Indiana Jones, Rising Sun, First Knight, The Presidio, Hunt for Red October, The Untouchables, and finally Medicine Man. Where he played Sean Connery to perfection. In fact, I've never seen a better Sean Connery than Sean Connery.

That's the lady who was to be the new 007. The public lost their minds and the producers backed down and gave her a minor role in the last movie.
