I'm getting back into winter wheelin, in a jeep with bikini top and no doors. I won't be going up during blizzards but you never know. I have already got the summit heater and ducts, and added seat heaters. I was thinking heated snowmobile grips for the oh shit handle on the passenger side and heated gloves for the driver. What else am I missing? Any recommendations for light weight outer wear, other than full on snow suit?

Um looked into any of the power tools heated clothing? For a snow rig seem like that would be tits, easy to carry extra batteries, etc.

Heated grip and steering wheel would be sweet. The biggest issue I ran into on out last winter buggy run was the wind getting between the helmet at the neck area and the visor fogging up.

No more 4runner?

Wife and I took up my sxs on a night run before I had the enclosure. Heated jackets were nice. She had heated pants and I think we both had heated socks. For gloves, we just had just decent winter gloves. I think the heated grip stuff comes into play more when you have constant wind blowing on your hands on a sled.

I was gifted an M12 jacket, it's decent. No hoof, and the battery is in a dumb spot on your lower back and bulky, although it was easy to find a cigarette lighter adapter. I got her a different brand (I have to look at it) and it uses basically a cellphone charger battery, and puts it in the front. Quality seems about the same.

If I were to do it again, I'd go for a heated vest to put under whatever gear you want.

Why not just grab a top and doors if it's a jeep?

I rock a pair of waterproof motor cycle Pants n jacket with tye appropriate layers underneath and stay relatively warm

look into snowmobile gear it is waterproof siting down (ski/snowboard stuff isnt) and is very warm and not bulky, Thats what i wheel with as I do both

I also have an M12 jacket and agree a vest would be better for layering under a jacket. The M12 jacket is decent but not as warm as I thought it would be…

How cold? We talking "winter" or winter?

He's in norcal, my old stomping grounds. Most times it's probably 20-40* I'd guess, I've been up on some clear nights that may have been closer to 0* but nothing real cold like up north.

Worst thing that can happen is a freak rain or sleet storm roll though.

Snow suit and layers. I like my Carhartt, but is not that waterproof. Dress for being in the weather for 12+ hours. Windshield and a roof to keep the snow off your lap.

I have my carharts waterproofed by my dry cleaner- its a type of spray - like a silicone spray for boots/ Scotchgaurd, etc- Its industrial and it lasts until the next cleaning -

I like the summit heat with round ports. Take a waterproof jacket and zip tie the sleeve on one port and put it on your lap on the cold days. Helps a ton or bust out the poly carb and boat cover canvas

Still have the 4rnr, will be selling it soon. I'll look into the vest. The jeep is 2 tub scabbed together, nothing stock will fit. Going to pick up some doors for this season.

Motorex Protex Waterproofing Spray

A 500ml spray can will do a couple jackets at least. Stuff works amazing and 20 bucks a can.

Depends just cold out i wear my Goretex lined Etnies, some Duluth thermal pants and layer up the top so I can drop some if I get hot.

Snow, miserable conditions thermal hiking boots and either my thermal 1 peice work jumpsuit or my snowboard pants/jacket.

I have a buggy with a heater and a windshield. Winter here is typically single digits up. Regardless once it's cold I swap my helmet for my winter sports one that covers my ears and has speakers built in.
