Will a diffused beam work for a dust light?

I found a decent deal on amazon for some Rigid D-XL pro diffused lights. I'm guessing they're cheap because they're painted marine white and have a diffused lens. I've been considering a cheapo china light for a amber dust light on my build, but if I could get a decent quality light like rigid, I'd rather go with that. Anyone have any experience with the diffused pattern before? Thinking I'd buy one of these and an amber lens for it:

I had a pair of those but in black on my tacoma as a dust light and I had yellow tint on the lens and it worked great.

Right on. Ordered one and an amber lens cover to go with it.

Diffused is great for rear facing as it can be seen from greater angles. The white led with amber color is more powerful than amber led. It will be more yellow than amber but for rear facing it should not matter. Rigid PRO has a great K and CRI. Would make a great work light as well.
