Will a 16 inch wheel fit a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe that its said to have 17 inch wheels factory ?

Edit title to be a 16 inch steel 6 lug wheel.


Trying to see if anyone has attempted this, to fit snow tires I have in a 265x85x16 size.

And the 3/4 ton trucks of that age came with 16" wheels, I can't imagine anything on your truck being bigger.

Most GM trucks and escalades I parted out had a 16" spare and ran 17's or bigger from factory.

My '03 Z71 Suburban has factory 17s and a 16" spare, my pro-comp 16" steel wheels hit the front calipers, so I had to tun ½" spacers, the factory spare clears no problem.
