Great addition PAE

Maybe limited to California, but we are always burning :homer:

Watch Duty has been great, although, I used my own eyes this weekend instead…

But I have been following the Moccasin Fire since it’s local enough that I have friends there, and the Thompson Fire since it’s growing so fast and I can see the plume from here.

I have lots I use.

this site does very in-depth reporting on fires

Caltopo for mapping of fires, with lots of overlays you can add for wind, and previous fire history

Zoom earth Live gives good info on weather as well as satellite images

Yubanet
local info in that area

Im so done with this shit, been 25 years being here and 15 of those years being under evacuations during fire season.

I hope to be moved out of California and butte county in less than a year even if I take a capital gains hit.

It won't stop raining here, but I'm on the other side of the Rockies. :flipoff2:

The best thing for the forests is to burn every few years. Kinda something about nature not giving a shit you wanted a house in the woods....

I'm appreciating the rain for sure. Somebody was claiming they think Montana will burn like in 2017 but I don't see because all the grass we have is pretty thin compared to a truly wet year.
