Who still wears non-smartphone watches?

I have two said watches that I haven't worn/used since my son talked me into buying my first smartphone in 2017.

Who still carries the 80-year tradition?:smokin::grinpimp:

Aye.

I wear non-smart watches about 1/3 of the time. Always wear one when doing formal meetings/events/dinners and on dates with my wife. Sometimes wear it to work as well.

I have a half dozen or so that I used to wear 24/7/365 but now, rarely if ever since it seems I'm always wearing the damn fitbit. I will have to find the valet that they live in.

Me. A quick glance at my wrist is more convenient than digging out my phone and swiping 2x, especially when I'm contorted under or around something.

Smart watches sort of interest me, but the buy-in is too high for too little return.

Bertucci I've been wearing for the last 15 years. Titanium-light and seems tough. The integral bars rock- I always trash springbars by bashing into things.

I had the SS version previously, and Ti is worth it. I do wish I had the radioactive version.

Every day. Analog diver most days. Casio Duro, or steeldive willard. I have some other "dress" watches that are old school hand wind only. Super slim, fits under dress shirt cuffs, Those are all my grandfathers.

Who give a fuck about time!
I look at time/a watch a little differently ever since I got stuck a day and a half up in a snow-covered mountain at 5,500ft back in Jan. 2003.
I learned 30 years previously that, when backcountry hiking/camping, part of a watches function is keeping your sanity when you're lost or stuck.

Besides telling time and functioning as a compass; a watch can help keep your sense of daily routine for yourself and that of your environment/world.
It gives you a sense of being (aka staying calm).

From personal experience; IT. WORKED.

I picked up a luminox leatherback sea turtle giant in all black a while back that I wear everyday. I am happy with it.

Edit: I guess I can’t figure out how to attach photos and have it show properly.

Nice. I have a Bertucci that I really like. Bought it about 15 years ago. I got welding splatter on the crystal and sent it in to get replaced. When I got it back the threads on the adjuster were stripped out. It still worked but wasn't water proof any more. It got wet and quit working. It's been sitting in a drawer ever since.

Was thinking about this the other day. I'm going to get another typical wrist watch...I kind of miss it.
