so I was spending about 50 bucks a month, on power-ball and mega-millions.. plus what ever munchies I would buy there at that time.. for years.. until a couple of months ago..

sometimes playing has really helped me stay positive..

I'm gonna summarize a joke I heard 25 years ago, a few times over..

there was this little lady who kept askin God to let her win.. she eventually became a nun.. and every day she would pray that God would let her win.. she would give most of it to the church.. one day when she was a very old lady, she was sittin in church praying.. suddenly all the stain glass windows broke.. and she heard God's voice: it would help if you actually bought a ticket..

so my question.. what if god does not have control on who wins??

I play about $10 in lottery a year, have for about the last 20 years or so. Maybe some few years nothing, maybe $20 a couple years.

Lottery if for communist states where you can’t play video poker or slot machines at the gas station, grocery store, or bars.

You're crazy if you don't buy A ticket. What's $2? You don't even notice it gone. But with that said, since your odds are still mathematically still virtually zero even if you spend hundreds, you're also crazy if you buy anything more than one ticket.

I bought a power ball and mega millions ticket while I was in California yesterday. Last time I bought either of those was 3 years ago. I don’t play the lottery much. I have horrible luck.

50 bucks a month is a little steep if leaving in God's hands... I'd imagine one pick is enough of going that route... If that lady rolled like you would be 85k or so out of the $

I play only on the rare occasion I pay for gas inside and the person in front of me spends a bunch. I have a deep feeling the small buy in will win. Is there stats out there on win per dollar spent?

Basic statistics- every ticket has the same chance as every other. The universe doesn't know whether you bought one Golden Ticket or a wheelbarrow full.

So 50 a week is how much different than 1 buck a week?

No lotteries in Nevada. Only play on road trips, except Utah, they don't have lottery either.

I do 2 tickets for each Powerball drawing. Its like entertainment. And you can't win unless you are in. I always check the powerball number first then the other five. A few months back I matched the powerball then the first three numbers. The rush at that moment was worth it. Last two numbers did not match . . . crash. Buy hey, I won 100 dollah. :smokin:

Two tickets doubles your chances of winning. Buying all the tickets guarantees a win.

A tax for those who can’t math. Watched adults piss away $ on that shit for years and always say we don’t have money for x

I now piss away “money” just not on lotto but it’s still a gamble. :homer:

I find tha somewhat ironic. Nevada. Where you can still shoot automatic rifles, pay hookers, bet on almost any event you want, play in any of the many casinos, wheel and race trucks in the desert. Yet no lotto:lmao:

If you haven’t noticed I am a bit jealous of your freedom. :flipoff2:
