I have never been salt-water offshoring, but I want one of the offshore boats. A GT70 with twin 2600s should do. I'm not really interested in fishing, I just want the boat.

Wow you guys are freaking me out. I was planning on buying a $7 million GT70, but now that I know hatteras is making their yachts as difficult as possible to operate, maybe I'll just get a jet ski.
 
It has nothing to do with you not being able to afford the Hat or that theyre difficult to operate, with those twin Cats I could make that baby twirl like a ballerina without the bow thruster. Im saying YOU couldnt operate a jetski (or afford it) let alone a 70' sportfish.

He was just here in our Blue Marlin Tournament and lost to some guys in a center console. :laughing:
 
I went last year, was cool seeing all those boats n hoes. Met one of the dudes from deadliest catch (capt. Bill I think?) and his smoking hot wife. Its a good time!

That is so low-level braggart about a pedestrian 'skill' that I was actually embarrassed for you. Like, that's what you've got. It was like watching reddit kids brag about their ability to drive a manual transmission. I live in a town with charter boats literally 200' from me right now. I have lived in towns with offshore boats lined up by the hundred. Now operating an off-shore boat is cool, but it's not a rare skill. This is a job that people with felony records and spotty employment do while drunk and high on coke.

The 5200 hp version has MTUs. I will never own one, because I don't have $7 million to throw down a hole. I was fantasizing about a yacht. And you took it seriously.

They had 4 White Marlins weigh in today. 76lbs is in 1st place for 1.1 Million and 2nd place is 72.5lbs at 1 3 Million. 3rd place is tied at 72lbs.

That ain't bad money for a day Fishing :cool:
 
There's still no Shark or Blue Marlin caught yet. Tomorrow is expected to be close to 300 boats out fishing,they are expecting to change that status.

Still lots of money on the table to grab up if you hook the Right One.
 
97# White in 1st, 77# in 2nd. Both worth about 1.5 million, cause 2nd place bought into all the categories. If someone hangs a Blue Marlin today it will take a bunch of that money.

No Blue Marlin today. And still no Shark. Tuna was good but others say "One Bite All day and One Catch"
 
Explain this to me 20 to 40 lb mahi are very common between lauderdale to palm beach during this time of year. You want to tell me people are paying close to 20k in prize money for a 40lb fish. fuck I would take 500 a fish all day im not even greedy. I havent been out in a while but pretty sure I can get a boat and some bait and get started if someone wants to find me a buyer.
 
Base buy in is only about $ 1,200.00 but your only competing for $ 50,000.00 in total prize money. There are about 2 dozen additional categories you can buy into. Looks like you can spend another $ 38,000.00 buying in to the big dollar payout.

To enter the tournament and all the advanced levels or calcuttas its over $30,000. Basic entry is around $1000 for the boat. To get into the big money you got to enter the advanced levels.
