I want to say right up front that my example is someone I don’t know shit about. He could be the five time king of hammers champion.

I was reading one of the chit chat threads and I saw the name “Nobicon” (or something like that). Anyways, he had very few posts. I clicked on his recent activity and every post was in chit chat and meme thread. I admit as I get older, I hardly ever lock in the hubs, but I still have a deep interact in 4x4s. I love seeing the bad ass builds in here. I just don’t see why someone would join here if they don’t have an interest in off road. I point out this guy, but I’ve seen this several times. Are these guys trolls or bots? Do they make money somehow? Are they feds?

People that spend thier lives in moms basement surfing the internet looking for any type of engagement as they have zero social interaction with living soles.

There's guys on here that are simply like minded, no 4x4 affiliation.

Exactly. I'm not building crawlers anymore but still like to see what others are building and what new innovations have come along to move the sport ahead.

Edit: I'm also still here because Waterhead hasn't floated (sunk) his hemmit yet nor has he drove through his house and shop on the way into his pool with the 8x8 yet..... I wouldn't want to miss that!! :lmao:

Pm and ask? Not sure I ever cared what people ever do enough to look up thier posts. but you be you.

When did you become interested in having logical reasons for doing shit?
Im kind of like Spock of Star Trec. Logic pretty much rules my life. About the only non-logical thing about me is my attraction to big boobs.

I haven't wheeled anything but a gravel lot in 12 years. Haven't owned a 4x4 since then either. Meh.

Good point, but I would never look up your posts with over 1500. I know you must be posting about off road. But when I see “23” and the post I’m reading has nothing to do with off road, it makes me courious. When you join a new forum, are your first posts in the chit chat area? I joined a yachting forum because I’m looking to buy one. I don’t know how many posts I have, but I guarantee they are all about boats.

What if you already knew quite a bit about boats and joined the forum?

We got threads on boats going here.,We got mountain bikes, lawn tractors, what criteria is there to have an interest in going off of the pavement?

Or they’re a bunch of assholes, and they want to hang out with like-minded people:flipoff2:

What's your angle? I mostly sense you like to denegrate people, shouldn't you want to be on one of those forums? :flipoff2:

I still think your first few posts would be about the subject of the forum.

I guess I’m a cynic, but I really thought there was some kind of way to make money. I use to be a member of a Bronco forum and it required so many posts before you could see or post in the classified section. It would not count posts that were in the non-technical areas. I kind of liked that. I wondered if anyone ever made a bunch of posts to get on and then rip people off.

A lot of forms are like that, you need so many post here and there before you’re allowed to sell items.

Then I guess,, forum board owners found it was a good way to make money. to let these ads in from other locations or open the form up to more platforms.

Do you ever walk up to a campfire surrounded by a bunch of dudes you don't know?

It's just weird.
On that note,
I read there was a guy out camping and another guy walked in and befriended him. They sat down had a couple beers and the guy killed the camper.

And I’ve camped in these areas where there is a couple of acres and a dozen rigs in there. there’s always a guy that thinks everybody there is going to be his new best buddy, so yeah,

I think some scammers play the long game. Sign up to various forums and make real posts and comments.

Time elapses and they gain a bit of longevity on the forum, then launch whatever scam they are planning....

They like to plow snow.
Have to be at least partially :homer: to actually LIKE doing that

It's extremely annoying having a planned out week and end up burning up part of it moving snow so I can actually do the work I planned. Or put in like 100hrs at night plowing and hauling and get nothing done all week.

I used 4x4 in my driveway last week. That count? Snow was pretty deep and the 5500 about gets stuck on a wet fart in 2wd.
Otherwise it's 4x4ering in a chained up 15 ton Deere 648D or G3 skidder.

I don’t 4x4 and post here. Shit I only own one 4x4 and it’s a 1970 Chevelle :lmao:. Only type of off-roading I would enjoy is getting a pro4 truck and going full tilt boogie with it.
That's because you've never been in a TT. Short course is fun, but it's over way too fast.
