What's new

What's On Your Bench?

Castle has become pretty high end nowadays.

I swapped my new beadlocks and tsls on the truggy. Have some brass, new softer springs and, a little bling coming and then I'll start considering a new motor. Probably a holmes crawlmaster/esc combo.

Also hauled the old t-Maxx out. Needs a pull starter and I'll be sending that bitch hard.

Let the smoke out of the stock esc. I guess 100c pack was too much for it? Got a castle bruahless combo for it.

Picked up a trx4 k10 today. Tomorrow is supposed to be snowy so I'm gonna romp it around in the powder before I ditch the lift and tires. The monster truck look sucks, I bought it for the dope body.

All those XR-10s instead of just 1 dlux berg. I'll keep my berg. :flipoff2:

At least the new owner of Dlux brought back XR-10 gears so they're viable again.

I'll never understand the hate towards the xr10 axles. Sure, they had some issues but all those issues have resolutions and no other moa axle has the clearance of the xr10. I won SO MANY comps with my xr10 it was silly. I broke one gear set in 12 years so did the mods and haven't broken since. Being in weekly, sometimes twice a week comps for well over 2 years I was not nice to it either. I don't know enough about the dlux stuff but I know they make nice stuff so I'm not hating on them at all.

Who's hating on XR-10 axles? Don't be so fucking sensitive Francis. :flipoff2:

You can keep your 4mm of extra ground clearance, I'll keep my yeet proof berg axles. At the end of the day we're grown ass men playing with expensive toys so run what you want as long as it isn't bully axles, those are universal trash, pretty sure most can agree on that at least.

Still tinkering on this thing

I finally got my parts to convert the k10 to a standard height trx4. It looks way better and the wheelbase isn't so fuckin stupid. My buddy is printing me a few items to put in the bed. I still have to grab some metal to braze up some bumpers, paint it and, install the scale hubs.

I also Installed some pitbull rockers (rock beasts) on the beater crawler since I wanted the SXs on the new truck. Need to pick a new body for it at some point, just dont know if I want a blazer or a yota.

Put TRX4 axles under my SCX10 and went back to 1.9s. Have to with gearing (or go 2 speed trans) because it's slow as shit but it actually worked really well. Going to try and raise the rear upper link mounts on the chassis, had a little hop in the rear on climbs.

Did an exterior paint job and swapped all my mods from the other trx to the k10. Painting the outside of a lexan body felt weird and for some reason the hood bubbled pretty bad when I shot the satin clear on. Oh well. I used my wifes cricut machine to make some window decals/weather stripping to kinda finish it out. Also raised the sliders up 3/8", the body 1/8" and chopped the rockers down. It's looking spot on. I finished it up yesterday but, I'm waiting a few more days for the paint to cure before I go run it.

New build for my son. He wanted an off road wrecker so I’m giving it my best shot. Parts are mostly axial.

A friend of mine hooked our 5 year old up with one of his old Capra chassis to build for axialfest west this year. He's pumped and I'm going to have him do most of the work(with a little adult supervision) himself.

Not sure if he'll feel the same way in the morning, but he went to bed telling me he wanted to strip it down and try to make the cage all one color again(probably blue).

Trying to decide if rear steer is over the top. He's driven other people's rigs with it and done alright.

Horizon spring sale got me so I guess I'm gonna build something class 2-ish with this. Been a long time since I had a 1/10 scale truck

Got excited when I saw your post and headed over to horizon to see if I can pick up another rig for my youngest to drive at axialfest. Aaaaand they're sold out. Ah well.

When is axialfest?
