Food day at the office, potluck style.

I had a few lil smokies in bbq sauce. I tried someone's flavorless mac-n-cheese, another person's flavorless pasta salad, and had a few pickles and olives. Damn near everything brought in was pure BS carbs, so I skipped most everything. Good thing I had two cans of sardines for breakfast.

I am, I think I've eaten Mexican more in the past 3 weeks than anything else.

A co-worker of mine is Mexican. He said he was at his house with a buddy one time eating some spicy peppers and his buddy (white dude) asked him if his family ate Mexican food all the time? My co-worker responded "Yes, but we just call it food":laughing::lmao:

my dad is mexican, mom is white.

they eloped in vegas and my dads parent threw them a reception/party later. my moms BIL was pissed they had fried chicken and tater salad for the party. he wanted mexican and just like your buddy said, they always eat that so they churched it up with something else.

Yeah I imagine eating American or Creole or Texas BBQ to them is like some of us just eating every day food too.

I work with a lot of Mexicans and so does my FIL. Mine and my wifes side have fully embraced Mexican cuisine and its a normal part of our menu. We dont go out to Mexican, we go out for Tacos and Carne:laughing: My spread the other weekend after an afternoon on the river drinking Pacificos.
