Take it out, you don’t need it in there. Just run a T in the line and have a long fuel line run up to the driver seat. Then when you start it up and run it, just suck on the line. But you’ll have to suck hard. Harder then this thread sucks.

This is what I figured when I guessed. Interesting, never dealt with one.

They tend to work, for a long time. I have had them break where the fuel lines attach. Looks like a kawi motor.

I thought the fuel flowing thru the pump actuated the diaphragm to create vacuum pulses for the motor allowing the motor to suck in the fuel.
