I actually read that when I bought the machine.

I ended up renting a drop deck trailer because I needed to move my forklift during the same time frame.

The trailer worked out real nice but it was like 600 bucks for a week.

My plan this time was was to load it onto my gooseneck with the mill, toolbox and my bench.

At that point though I will be way beyond weight if that machine really weighs that much.

Bridgeports 2-3k depending on which model. My series 1 is 2k.

Mill is 2200. Lathe I'd guess between 7-8k. What's the swing and bed length on that?

it isn't that they are heavy, but that they are heavy, awkward, and top heavy
Those problems stop when you stop buying hobbyist lathes that are 1ft wide and sit on metal cabinets that are 3ft tall. Lathes don't really get taller as they get bigger and the necessary increased width and depth of the bed on bigger lathes means more weight is down low.

thank you
I have a 6'er sitting in my shop

it is still heavy awkward and top heavy:grinpimp:

4K-7K on the lathe.

3500 to 4500 on the Bridgeport.
