Took the xtracab to TSC for chicken food today. First time it’s been out of the barn in a month +. Talked to a nice gent with a 3rd gen who wanted to ask a bunch of questions about the lift and how well it rides…. And then out it back in the barn.

Wasn’t too bad of a job. Had to quadruple check that I was drilling out the correct holes in the separator plate. Don’t forget to install the brass rivet for the low gear hold feature.

Transgo 340-HD2 shift kit.

Specs/details? Curious what it’s supposed to do.

I had a level-10 kit in a 3rd gen that I sold to a buddy…. It shifted hard.

Changed the rear brakes/rotors on my 360k lx470. I had no idea what a "jack bolt" was until I beat on the rotors and they wouldn't budge. Came right off with the jack bolt trick.

Know what you mean about quad checking. Drill for truck shift? And remove check ball.

And then took it a step further.

I was going to attempt the clean it but it’s just so rough. Scored one off rockauto for $130. This was supposed to be a quick flip that snowballed.

Until you pull a me and break the jack bolt off in your fj80 axle flange:laughing:

Been a few weeks now but I took my shitty leaf sprung rock crawling on an overlanding camping trip in CO. Always fun to get the truck out at all, but it rides like a fuckin 3 wheeler
Beginning of the trail going up the switch backs.

Jaws 5? I don't believe this is officially named but it was definitely harder than Jaws 1, 2.5, 3, and maybe 4 due to being a slick SOB.
