What did you do to your rig today?
Oil change?
Timing adjustment?
SAS?
Wash it?
Look at it?

Yesterday; I removed the rubber liner and side panels from the bed of my '94 Bronco.

Used it for a step ladder to cut the top of the forsythia the misses couldn’t reach from the ground.

Tried removing/unbolting the backseat floor-mounted seatbelt bolts in the Bronco.

The bolts would not budge! :mad3:

I soaked said bolts in homebrew, veggie oil/acetone, over a period of hours.

Said bolts still would not budge....

Tomorrow the cut-off wheel will go to work.

Broke something....:mad3: :frown:

Backstory:
Driving in 4WD due to no rear driveshaft.
HMMWV tires on factory TTB Dana 44.

Waiting to make a left turn/front tires already turned/oncoming traffic waved me to go/quickly pressed throttle/instant SNAP......

I press throttle again; only rev'ed engine, not moving.

Construction crew helped pull my Bronco home (down the street).

Crawl under:
Front driveshaft appears to be intact.
Tried to turn, felt like it should.

Front axle's left/center-right/and right U-joints 'appears' to be intact.

Start engine/shift into drive/press throttle/ Weeeeeeeee with a fast clicking sound/not moving.

Turn off engine.

My only other nOOB thought is that I snapped the T-case chain.

Thoughts/suggestions/opinions are welcomed.

Jack the front up and rotate the wheels with the hubs still engaged. If spinning both the left and the right cause the driveshaft to turn, then it might be your transfer case. I’d be more inclined to believe you wrecked a hub or snapped a shaft than just outright broke the chain. They usually start to skip, slap, and otherwise make noise before they let go.

WINNER!!! WINNER!!! CHICKEN DINNER!!!

The fuckin' driveside hub was very loose and missing two of the six bolts.

Tighten said hub up and replaced one of the missing bolts.

Started her up/shifted to Drive/drove her from street curb to my carport.

Fuckin'- A!

Installed a new throttle cable in the Aerostar. It's scary fast now considering the state of the steering suspension. Also shows me how worn out the 3.0 in my Ranger was. I was able to drive to work without leaving 5th on the highway and go fast enough that the roof billowed more or less continuously.

Drove it home on AC max to make sure it still works in high 90s

Fuel cell for the wheeler is allegedly going to be here tomorrow so hopefully I can get that installed for this weekend

Drove the old one to work again, has a miss under load that seems to be ignition. Might have to step up from my $50 eBay distributor and maybe put some plugs in it.

Was chickenshit yesterday to drive the Bronco after the 'loose hub assembly' incident.

Might take her for a spin today.

Next time see if you can get to the threads under the body and clean them or cut the bolt off just under the floor. I had to use a hacksaw blade to chase threads once. Not my favorite thing to do and certainly not the worst I've have to do on a vehicle.

Did something I've never done before...

I changed the oil without replacing the filter.

Walmart brand oil filter claims it's good for up to 6,000+ miles.

I'm changed said oil at 3,000 miles.

Was installing the new rear driveshaft.

Got to the very last bolt on the axle yoke...

Broke the mother fucker off. :mad3: :frown:

Apparently I over-torqued the bolts.

What is the torque specs on 1310/1350(?) yoke bolts?
