Hang on to them for the next 20 years,(ill need these some day) after they have accumulated a ton of dirt and dust, then throw them away.
that's what I always doHang on to them for the next 20 years,(ill need these some day) after they have accumulated a ton of dirt and dust, then throw them away.
What do I do with old parts I'm accumulating?
The list ('94 Bronco) :
PS pump, gearbox, and bracket
Interior spare tire carrier
AC pump
rear bumper
coil springs
Many individual leaf springs
Two options is donate them to a local junk yard, or just throw them away.🤷♂️
Going to reinstall the AC pump just to give it a place to store. What do I do with old parts I'm accumulating?

Stupid unit bearing started doing stupid shit.
Greased my xaliper pins about 2 yr ago and one already seized
So fixing it all and shaft seals, maybe axle ujoints
Good looking truck from 25 ft away. Just like mine.first attempt at painting a vehicle... 3 coats of base, 4 coats of clear. More orange peal than the entire state of florida...
But overall, not bad for using the $14.99 Harbor Freight HVLP and the cheapest paint I could find locally. It may get wet sanded... it may not... depends on ambition and desire to wet sand the rest of the truck. Which is currently non-existent.
If it looked good from 20' away, I'd call it a raging success... but i'll take 25' as well.Good looking truck from 25 ft away. Just like mine.
How much did you sand between coats base/final?
What'd you use for a primer?
Last two dodges I owned I did a spyntec conversion. And i sold the trucks after saying I would keep them a long time. Trying not to Jinx Myself. It doesn't seem a appealing being I already have locking hubs. I've already got two other dana 60 front, and one dana 44 I need to go thru and re-pack bearings etc. on as it stands nowBack when I had my '99.5 PS F-350; I went through two UBs before I said F-this and bought the Dynatrac bearing conversion kit.
With gasket gets my vote. I think it cleans up the line
Even if it was tighter, it's still a hard transition in my eyes. Gasket gives it a softer and we'll defined line.Picture w/o is just hanging on a couple of bolts… so there is still a ton of adjustment that is needed.
But I agree that the gasket hides a lot.

Edit: talked with my cousin (auto body shop owner) and gasket is in….
if you don't like it, don't do it none of us have to see it every dayStill torn on the gasket, but everyone I talked to wanted it.
Found a set of chrome fender trim and made them work on the aftermarket fenders. Also threw on a $15 chrome exhaust tip. Broke one of the markers - replacements arrive tomorrow.

in that case, shit, looks like it's already done and can stayI can’t see it from behind the wheel.
I also can’t see it because the truck spends 96.78% of its time hidden in the barn.
And…
Tightening those bolts sucks ass…. Requires as 3’ tall, 34# double jointed contortionist to tighten.
And…
F-U… I want to blame my decision on someone else. It’s the new American way!.
