What’s on everyone’s wish lists? (Guns)

Meant to do this yesterday because it’s really a Tuesday type thread, but let’s hear what everybody plans to or would like to purchase in the way of firearms.

Because I‘m a dream crusher, there are rules.

1. It has to actually exist and be somewhat obtainable if you or your significant other were to go track one down.
“A pre ‘64 Winchester Model 70” or “A Luger that was carried by someone during WWII” qualifies.
“Serial #00001 Remington 700” or “A takedown Ruger 10/22 in .17 Remington Fireball” does not.

2. It has to be legal in general, not necessarily where you currently live.
“A non legal handgun in CA” or “An SBR in New Jersey” are fine.
“A full auto belt fed .50 BMG” or “A bazooka” is not.

3. Things that you will likely never be able to afford in the foreseeable future are out.
So no “$50k Holland and Holland shotguns” for the majority of us.
“I’m going to buy myself a $3,000 National Match M1A when I retire” is fine.

4. Let’s limit it to 5, just because. They don’t have to be in any particular order :flipoff2:

5. Roughly estimate what your list would cost.

Here’s mine:

1. Weatherby Vanguard 6.5, walnut stock, barrel chopped to 16-18” for a stalking rifle.
2. Sig 1911 10mm, preferably the discontinued Emperor Scorpion version, to carry in the woods.
3. Weatherby Vanguard .375 H&H, I think the round is cool and might shoot a Nilgai some day.
4. Beretta 686 28 gauge over/under, I’ve wanted a “really nice” shotgun for awhile.
5. Dead Air Nomad Ti (suppressors are firearms), for my hunting guns.

Around $6k all in.
 
Not sure why a .50 BMG is disallowed within your parameters??? It's completely legal most everywhere and most heavies are less expensive than a M16.

Anyway, with that said:

2. A Springfield M1906.
2. K98k Mauser (pre-war).
3. A "Property of US Govt" roll marked 1911.
4. Browning P35 Hi-Power.
5. Beretta 92.

Prolly ~$10K conservatively.

If I were allowed to wish:

A Maxim/Vickers water cooled MG from WWI. This would be part of my living room presentation, much like a lamp or sofa or big screen TV.

I already own a M1A NM and a pre-64 Winchester.

410 shotgun. Pump, bolt action, break open… doesn’t matter.

I say, I say, I say again boy. have you ordered it yet? I thought in a previous thread (or the previous board!?) you had ordered one? or was that someone else?
 
Colt 1911 gold cup so I can recreate the gun in the movie Cobra.

Turns out the gun is the easy part and finding someone to make the custom grips like the one in the film is the hard part.

I was able to get my hands on a 590. I have only seen a 590a1 Retro in person once since the scamdemic started. I’ll get one eventually :smokin:
 
Really like my 590a1 retro, need to shoot it more and get a Bayonet for it.

1. Sig pe90 (probably not going to happen as they aren't worth what people are paying for them)
2. Original FAL.
3. My grandfather's Springfield just need to talk my uncle out of it.
4. A nice garand.
5. FN FNC (also not worth what people are paying for them)

In reality I will probably just finish my WWSD carbine and build an ar pistol in 300 BO. In the short term anyway.

I remember making a long list of guns I want.

Still a long list, but I hardly shoot anymore, and haven't hunted since '18.

I've been fortunate enough to add some of my "Grail Guns" to my collection in recent years. There's still a lot I'd like, but just a few, in some particular order:

Wish list of shit I may actually have someday (some sooner than others) would go something like

$5-7k depending on how the last two were set up.

I'm pretty lucky, I have three infinity pistols. and they are by far my favorites. I would like a single stack 9mm from them. I have a factory colt m16 that is mint. and a shit ton of other guns that are fun to play with. but I would like a mp5, most enjoyable shooting sub machine gun I have ever played with. if I get another windfall I will have one.
