$30/in is one of those stupid prices.Depending what it is, $30 per inch of vise jaw is generally pretty fair in my mind. As mentioned, people post stupid prices and some times you get it.
Canada pricing, I should have said maximum is $30/inch for me and it better be real nice and not just a user. This is an example of stupid pricing near me:$30/in is one of those stupid prices.
That makes much more sense.Canada
I have a 6" Reed like that, I gave $300 for it. More than I should have but, I wanted it! Use paint stripper to clean it up, not a cup brush, so all of the text is crisp if you want to sell it.
The youtubers, restorers and collector have all driven the price of big vises through the roof. Depending on location, you should easily get $3-400 for that.
Or some guy who's looking for a vise has an email alert set up so he knows as soon as someone posts one that isn't crazy expensive.I must have listed it too cheap because within an hour or so of listing it I had a buyer at $200.
That’s probably it. He is a collector of sorts from what he says.Or some guy who's looking for a vise has an email alert set up so he knows as soon as someone posts one that isn't crazy expensive.
Six months it’ll be back on Craigslist for quadruple what you sold it for with a shitty linseed finish 😂That’s probably it. He is a collector of sorts from what he says.
I wouldn’t doubt it, can’t say I haven’t done the same thing though.Six months it’ll be back on Craigslist for quadruple what you sold it for with a shitty linseed finish 😂
Now you tell me. I paid nothing for it so I’m still ahead. I may be selling a big ass bell for fil and it’s kinda the same way as these, less market for the monster ones.Definitely too cheap. You could have spray bombed it (without even cleaning it, of course) and sold it for $400.
Shit, I never looked at the pics close enough. Didn't realize the 22 had the self-adjusting jaw.
Just to make you feel better
