Previously, I had made a bunch of 2" PVC tubes and had the filler rod separated into various tubes for different grades.
Those tubes lived on a slanted rack under the main welding bench but pretty quickly I started to end up with other grades and also had too much of some grades to fit in the tubes.

The other day, I stumbled on this cool vintage welding filler rod box; turns out it came out of Schramm Compressors facility as I found some paperwork inside of it when going through it. It actually had some brazing rod and 4140 AL rod in it still.

What other setups are folks using to store rods. Stick rods, and does anyone keep their spools of MIG wire in a container if they switch grades? I had a spool flash on me once from sitting on the shelf and the outer layer had to get unwound and tossed because it was sticking in the liner and welding like shit. I was a dumb kid at the time and have since learned.

Mostly PVC pipes in the wall. Fuck having an extra 50# hanging off the side of a welding machine
