Vss sensor bypass?

Just finishing a 16v swap into an 88, will the vss sensor cause bogging down? Also, speedo doesn't work. Everything is connected and grounded.

Reed switch out of stock 16v dash or something along those lines. threads at the old site.
Trail Tough or Petroworks have something if you don't want to do your own.

It wont cause it to bog down but will not advance the timing correctly at speed
