Vintage Wheeling Pics

Few more from '04 or '05? Ish? I'm sure I could dig up a lot of cool photos older than that, but I'd have to go through boxes to find the prints:homer:

I was in Moab around ‘04 and ran into an older guy looking for a specific obstacle and we ended up chatting for a couple of hours. He had a 200 MPH club t-shirt on and I asked him about it. He had built a car using an Olds quad 4 engine that ran around 218 MPH at Bonneville Salt Flats and also had jeeps for several decades. He chased me down in town the next day and gave me a VCR tape with his race car at the flats as well as a bunch of Jeeps in Moab during the early 70’s. Kind of cool the see the old Jeeps struggle on whats now relatively easy obstacles.
I’ll have to see if I can find the tape and get it transferred to a memory stick.

Ive wheeled and drank beer by the old shackthere with my bud and his pops. he lives about 5 miles away so we hit it after work a few times when i was in cruces for work. :grinpimp:

Small world. Too bad the trails in the Organs are all closed now :frown:

I rode w/ the Las Cruces crew one time, here is 'NotAYota', me flailing on a ledge, me flopping on said ledge (you can see Max from LC in the leather jacket)
At the bottom, witnesses claimed mine was the first stock-wheelbase Zuk to climb the waterfall at Disney, OK. Cold as shit that day

Union labour trail, shawnigan BC, 2003-4. Very likely we skipped school for this.

Chet's crack, also in shawnigan, also likely we skipped school for it.

This is less wheeling, but...early 90s. I'm the boy sitting on the rock. Dad is the guy with the impeccable fashion sense. The site is somewhere between California and the Yukon. The truck is an 85 22re 5 speed xtra cab SR5. I sat in the back behind dad on a piece of plywood.
