legislating morality always has this strange flavor to it, as if it is some kind of reverse psychology thing...
Offloading responsibility in decision making so that the individual is no longer justifying their own choices beyond 'this is what the law says so it be what I do'

further down the train of thought, starting to think that decriminalizing murder would be a net positive on a societal scale

You can't have a functioning society without a moral basis that all can agree on for the rule of law.
in this country, we call that moral agreement the constitution of the United States. Is that all the constitution is? No. It also restrains the government, but it also sets the basis of the rights each human person is endowed with (by their creator) by simply being.
Do I think we need to start telling people they can't pick their nose on Sunday? No.
However, seeing that an unborn fetus is inherently human and is within the United States, and thus afforded the same constitutional protections that any other human is, to deprive that fetus of its life is an affront to the very founding basis of this country.
Frankly, I don't see it as "legislating morality" in the same sense as I don't see making the rape and murder of a 19 year old woman illegal as "legislating morality."

Theres places in this world where you can move where I'm sure they wouldn't bat an eye at those things. If that's the world you want, move there. But in this country, I believe the founders knew that without a foundational basis of basic human consideration, and dare I say, some semblance of the "golden rule" that society would devolve in a chaotic shitshow of competing wills, where the ruler would be the one that can apply the most force to society, through intimidation, killing, bribery, coercion etc....I'll be damned if that ain't textbook tyranny.
This aint about me pushing my religion on others. I have yet to use my religion as a defense of my position on the murder of unborn humans.

I base my position on human physiology, the human life cycle, and the constitution of the United States, along with my understanding of sociology and societal collapse into tyranny.

Y'all acting like clown world just sprang up outta nowhere...just like one day the Germans just woke up nazis. I contend its just the natural progression in this crescendo leading away from our founding ideals. And in order to make that happen, things need to be flipped upside down.

Thus the murder of our most frail gets labeled as freedom.

When blacks who are ~13% of the population, are doing ~75% of all crime in a country of 330 million. It's pretty safe to say that the negro race has a propensity for .............lets just say......not following the laws of the land.

The person that wrote that article seemed to be saying "Well, there's a few bad apples in every group, you can't condemn them all for the few". I submit that in the heavily pigmented group......there's a few good ones, and you can't give them all the same benefit of the doubt of the few.
There's a reason why they commit so much crime and it has to do with where they are from.....a completely lawless Africa. Basic instincts from tens of thousands of years of evolution are not going to be changed in a few hundred years.

If I sound like a racist fuckstick, why are they lowering the bar for test scores for them? Why are they trying to force companies to hire them? Why are they trying to make it acceptable that they are committing crime?
All this crazy bullshit that the Left has been coming out with for them is actually saying a single truth......there's a difference between races.

I'm not totally in disagreement. Two things though-

I don't think it's genetic, I think it's cultural- at least mostly. Generations fed without work, paid to have more kids, disincentivised to be fathers, told "their culture" is not only important but the only choice... Most of the things we object to began around FDR. It's not black skin, it's black culture.

"Death penalty for all." isn't good enough? What are you looking for from black commenters? :shaking:
 
As far as penalty, sometimes the jury weighs the level of suffering of the victim.

I imagine "beat to death" is among the highest of realistic/common ways to die that sounds awful, and worst case scenario, where someone experiences absolute terror and pain up until the moment of their death. Getting shot, bombed, even stabbed are all easier on you than this.

Culture and genetics tend to go hand in hand.

Now the US has made cultural/laws/programs changes in recent times in order to lift them up which have had, I think most would agree, absolutely disastrous results. Everything has been the wrong answer for the wrong question. When race and genetics are completely 100% taboo to even mention, the societal issues that one group brings to the table can never be addressed correctly.

Even saying that there actually ARE differences between races is bad now days. Everyone knows it's true, but you still can't say it out loud. That helps no one.

I certainly don't have the answers to fix it. Maybe it's tough love. Stop welfare, build more prisons and hold back failing students. 50 years from now we could be on the right track.

Thomas Sowell says that it's black culture that is holding some black people back. Looking at black kids that were born to service members in Germany after the war, there was no difference between their academic scores and other races. Why. Because no black culture. Genetics does play a factor but any race can have the genetics to be a douche bag. I think he is on to something here. I wish this guy got more main stream exposure.

You can thank 100 years of progressive policy for this. Black urban culture exists in its current form purely because Progressives intentionally segregated black communities via public housing and public works projects, mostly road construction. They destroyed the black middle class and nuclear family to keep them dependent on government handouts and to keep racism alove and well because it's an easy emotional issue up manipulate. We're seeing the fallout of that now. They'll do the same thing to all of us eventually.

Richmond is a great example of this. They ran the interstates right through the middle of the city here to divide up middle class black neighborhoods and segregate what was left of them from white and mixed neighborhoods. Then they built section 8 housing on the furthest Northeast corner of the city where there was no access to infrastructure or commerce. In the following decades the black middle class completely disappeared.

A local news station in CNY ran a story showcasing a vigil for a black man who was shot and killed last week.

What they didn't report is this same man was sentenced to 10 years in prison back in 2011 for emptying a magazine into a car full of people.

Just burns my ass this thug gets a vigil, covered by the media, while if it was you or me nobody besides our family would care.

I like Thomas Sowell. The man see's with his eyes open. He speaks the truth and that is exactly why he doesn't get the exposure he deserves.

I can remember my dad saying the biggest thing holding blacks back is other blacks. When a black kid is doing good in school, he's ridiculed by his friends for trying to be white. So the kid ends up a fuck up to fit in.

Now they are using younger and younger kids to sling drugs and do shootings, because they know kids will get less time. That fucked up.
