What's new

Vegas next week

Holy fuck :eek: I just looked at Primals menu. Not taking a family of 4 meat eaters there, it would be a $1000 tab.
The wife and I are a big fan of The Steak House in Circus Circus.

Everything they cook is on mesquite wood.

There aren't any prices on the menu. Get ready to drop a bill per person on dinner. 100% worth it.

Yea, I must have missed the whole family being there bit of info.
We leave the kids at home for vegas trips.
Even still, with a few cocktails and each of us ordering what we want, I seem to remember us getting out of there for around $300.
I usually get a 28-34oz ribeye or Porterhouse, depending on the options that day and Mrs. gets a fillet.
Last time was a little fillet plus a little ocean scorpion tail.

Omelet house will be good for the family tho... the portions are huge so the kiddos might wanna share.

STK in the Cosmopolitan was the high water mark for most expensive meal for a long time. Good, but not good enough to justify the price.

Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab in/by Caesar's, surf & turf (king crab legs) were cheaper than STK's steak and a side for 2, and a heck of a lot better service.

Mon Ami Gabi in Pairs is a must for us. Steamed muscles, escargot, hanger steak. Hard to get that stuff in AR.

Holsteins in Cosmopolitan makes a decent burger and they have milkshakes with booze in them. On the more affordable end, but it's still Vegas.

MGM's buffet is okay, we went for breakfast on "chorizo day" I like chorizo as much as the next guy, but damn they put chorizo in everything. Endless mimosas though.

We were there with some friends that just really wanted to eat at Diablo's, so we did, it's mediocre Tex-Mex. We now have 2 franchises local-ish. :homer:

Hexx in Paris is a great brunch spot. Jewels loved the chicken and waffles. They do some interesting things with chocolate, not all of it tastes good though.

Wolfgang's Bar & Grill in MGM was pretty good too. Maybe the most affordable steak I've had in Vegas.

There was a Mediterranean seafood restaurant in The Wynn that we had a phenomenal experience at. I don't recognize any of the options that pop up on Google now, I wish I could remember its name. Looks like Safta is relatively new, must have been where Safta is now. Just Jewels and I, we made reservations, but no special requests. The waiter was great, and for some reason the chef decided to just send us things he made. Not full meals, but several little things he was experimenting on, maybe 2 or 3 bites each, amuse-bouche I guess. I looked around the restaurant and we were the only ones getting this treatment. I guess we got the lucky table. Chef came out and thanked us for dining before we left. We're just a couple of bumpkins from AR that like to travel and try new things, no one special. Was a neat experience though.

We're hitting the MGM buffet tonight before cirque show!

I'm a cheap fuck. Bought a tailgate pellet grill, rib eyes, and Carne Asada. We'll eat out a couple times though. Our room at the Cancun resort has a full kitchen.

Welp, the plan was for buffet last night, but we had no idea they weren't open for dinner:mad3:. So we went to Tom Colicchios Craftsteak because it was close to the KA theater. Shoulda looked at prices before going in......oh well, it was really good! Had a rare 18oz ribeye, fuckin good! Got out for just over $400 . Most expensive dinner I've ever bought my family!

How was Ka? Hope I didn't over sell it. I thought the arrows "shot into" the stage and the acrobats doing live action Plinko on the stage with arrows poking out as it raised to near vertical was great.

We thought it was bitchin', well worth it. Already talking about planning a next trip with another show involved. Wife and I do arial circus, so it's right up our alley.

Well now we gone and done it, we're Hilton Grand Vacation owners:eek: Actually makes sense money wise as we travel for all our kids gymnastics and stay mostly at Hilton owned places. Now we get a couple vacations a year included in what we already pay.
Owner section baby!

The way I look at is we already spend X on places to stay per year. For the package we bought we'll pay far less over the time our kids are traveling for sports. We'll save 20k over 7-8 years and get some vacations in at no extra cost.

Can't wait to go to vegas. Never been, hope to go inthe next couple years. :usa:
Take LOTS of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Vegas has gone WAY up scale on price. The days of doing it at a reasonable price are gone.

How much is a Garth Brooks Vegas show?

Garth Brooks next concert is set for April 18th, 2024 at 8:00pm. This concert is playing at the The Colosseum - Caesars Palace at 3570 Las Vegas BLVD South, Las Vegas, NV. Fans can find tickets for this show from $355.49 - $2319.20.

My friend's in-laws were HGV owners since the 80's. As the parents got older and couldn't travel, he and and his wife started staying in Vegas more often. When the parents passed away a few years ago, they took over the plan and use it at least a couple of times a year. I've been on many trips with them, and it seems like a nice deal without price shopping for every trip.

These days they always stay at the "Boulevard" building on the North end of the strip across from Fountainebleau.

Back to Vegas for 6 days, headed down tomorrow. Had no idea till today, it's gonna be 100° :mad3::mad3:. Oh well.
It's our anniversary trip. Eloped and got hitched there 15yrs ago in two weeks. Couldn't make the actual date work.
Goal is to relax by the pool, soak up all the sun for the upcoming winter, eat some good food, take a few classes at the LV Circus Center, but mainly just relax. Wish there was something offroad going on, but can't find anything.

Where'd you get hitched? We did ours at "little church of the west" I think is what it's called :homer:

We did it cause planning the wedding was a major suck. So we just went and did it.

No regerts.:flipoff2:

Have fun by the pool people watching.

I don’t even know where we got married there. All I remember is “pastor Jamie” :smokin: Since Vegas is 2 hours behind our normal time, we were at the courthouse at 8am when they opened. 2 guys were giving us their sales pitch. I asked who is giving us a limo ride back to cosmo. One dude said “I will”. Bam. Let’s go. Then pastor Jamie shows up, straight from the titty joint. :smokin: Great wedding. :grinpimp: I r fail for no pics of hung over, big fake titty pastor Jamie. :homer:

Want to fly an airbus simulator? I will be instructing in vegas this weekend and could probably get you in for a bit.
Pyleit..... I have my 13y/o grandson visiting from South Africa and my son from Florida. If there is anything we could pull off for Monday???? A simulator ride would blow my grand-son's mind. I myself was a simulator tech/instructor when I was in the Navy. :smokin::smokin::smokin::smokin:
