What's new

Vaccination mandates on the horizon.

It's going to take people continuing to just get forced out or quit. There's going to be a breaking point in every industry where they're not going to have the manpower to keep this up. Plus if half the country is refusing to get the vax these companies are severely limiting the pool of people they have to hire from.

The economy is already on edge with delays and shortages across the world. These companies aren't going to be able to afford to lose so many workers. As long as people keep resisting this bullshit it's going to force companies to as well because it's hitting them directly in the wallet. The Biden admin isn't going to back off on this shit unless they get significant push back from all these companies.
Biden’s spending bill will make us the highest taxed nation in the world... there’s almost no point working

I hope it does before December 8th.
Honestly, I do too, for everyone's sake. I really do want to be forced out though. I have had to make the decision to move on, now I am ready and can make it work. I can do a 6 month trial of a ton of ideas, see what its like to be away from the corporate bullshit. I am in a unique situation though, sugar momma covers the bills, we have limited debt and I am tired of working at a desk. I just dont have a bunch of capital laying around, so its going to take some creative shit. :usa:

Must get tested three times a week?!?! It’ll be interesting to see how long they put up with that shit.

It's strategic. Rather than a full mandate, allow a super-difficult alternative. That revolving-door 72 hour testing is coming to my workplace too as an 'option' :shaking:

Easy... work just enough on paper to justify your existence and basic taxes. Nobody needs to know about the side-whoring... :lance:

for all these companys testing for covid on a weekly basis. What is the cost of a test and who is footing the bill?

I know the standard airline test I was referred to was ~$225CAD.

Then I inquired at the small hospital local to my work (remote location, community of under 1500) and it was free. The irony is the airport doesn't check your test result; instead they take a signed declaration from you that you meet the travel requirements. Then you are susceptible to spot checking, and if non-compliant you risk getting kicked off the plane & fined. I'm not sure if an employer would run it the same way (effectively honour system) or actually check.

While the test may have been free to you somebody got a bill for it. Whether it be insurance, gov, etc….

Gov't wants, gov't pays for it. Closed loop. I pay taxes so meh. :homer:

In my case it is gov't regulation requiring the testing... not the employers themselves.

No one is talking about all the "free" tests and shots. When do we get to see how "free" they were and who got the "free" in their bank account. Once that is known the truth of this whole shit will start to show.

My primary nursing employer has now backed off massively on the vax mandate. The CEO stated she is against the mandate, and about 40% of the company is still unvaccinated. I was told that until CMS (which is who our primary funder is)comes down with guidelines and actually starts enforcing them, that no employees would lose their jobs over vax status.

It seems now from what I am hearing at other facilities and seeing where I work, that covid is no longer getting listed as a primary diagnosis if you are vaxxed, but instead listed as a comorbidity. If you are vaxxed and in the hospital with covid, you are getting put in med surg, with contact precautions and listed as having an upper respiratory infection, instead of being placed in a covid unit. Covid is still in your chart, just not the primary diagnosis anymore.

Welp.. I guess I'll find out when I get to work tomorrow what hoops I'm going to have to jump through. If I have to get tested weekly, I'll likely quit, take a pay it and go work for my brother (who has less than 100 employees) making significantly less.. unless my company pays for me to test. I'm not paying $$ to test every week.

Why not refuse to quit? Refuse to leave? Get the cops called, etc. :stirthepot:

(FWIW I understand why you wouldn't do that) But I plan on being escorted out by law enforcement.

edit- dammit I just saw the testing option

I've thought about it.. however, I'm kind of torn. The location I'm currently working at is highly toxic and I've been actively looking to move anyway, but I need to make sure it's what I'm supposed to do. Whatever happens, I'm likely going to make them fire me, as I feel I may have better legal recourse if I am fired over my refusal to get the jab or be tested for covid. I don't know if that's true, but it is how I feel.

What we need to find is someone spouse or close friend who is a nurse or other shot giver that wants to make a few hundred bucks for 'giving' the shot and the paperwork

I understand wanting to do that, but I also feel like if that starts happening, it's just going to look like we gave in. The only way to affect a change in this stupid bullshit is to stand up to the government. Last time I checked, they worked for us, not the other way around.

While I do agree, I also am realistic that many can't fight if they are homeless. Blend in with your enemy and work the system against them.

I just wanna be prepared for several options.

won't be long and they will require the boosters too...
My mom says "I'm not getting the booster." Well, three months ago it was "I'm not getting that vaccine."

That's 75%+ of America. Nobody believes in anything anymore. This has been the design for decades.

Yup.

See if they roll over for forced masking. ✅
See if they roll over for lockdowns. ✅
See if they roll over for closed schools. ✅
See if they show their vaccine card. ✅
See if they roll over for forced vaccination. ✅
See if they roll over for annual boosters. ✅
See if they get on the train. ✅

Self employed workers, FULL EXEMPTION from osha rules and regulations... talk your boss into becoming a non voting, non profit sharing owner for 1% or less... then agree(with a handshake) to give it back once the mandates are rolled. My wife and i are already exploring options to keep our main employees working so i don't default on over 1.5 mill in already signed contracts for 2022... with another half mill verbally signed beside that.

Until the bodies of those pushing start dropping, they will not let up. You can protest, refuse, vote, write emails...etc. but it will not matter until those that can make a difference start feeling the pain. And I mean that literally.
