Everytime I use the hole saw, I end up with a larger diameter than I need. Used a 2 1/8 hole saw today for a gauge and the gauge falls right through.

Am I going to faat? Do I need a size smaller and account that it will drill bigger?

This is a very good quality saw bte, not cheap junk.

That’s the nature of a hole saw, go a size or two smaller and use a grinding cone on your angle grinder to open it up.

These cut better and are more accurate than a hole saw. Pricier up front, but will cut far more without wearing out - each one is probably worth a handful of the same sized hole saw.

I have also had good luck replacing the 1/4" drill bit it the hole saw arbor with a stick of 1/4" rod. I pre-drill the hole with a bit, and the rod in the arbor prevents the hole saw from walking, especially in thin material.
