Evidently I just put my stuff in everyone else's thread. Gonna be a cool story brah cause I'm still celebrating. Diagnosed Xmas of '19 with CLL(blood cancer). No cure but typically manageable with pills that have been around for 15-20 years. Well, I'm not easy and my version was going to fail the standard stuff in less than 2 years. My sister got my details to a doc at NIH and I fit a trial they were working on just for this. I didn't want to guinea pig but it looked like the best option. Did a whole bunch of immunotherapy infusions on top of the standard pills. Their thoughts were to make the pills work longer before they failed. I've been there every 4 months for the last 4.5 years figuring each visit the numbers would be up. Was there Friday morning for blood work and 1.5 hours later in the exam room with the docs just like normal. Doc is going through results and says " no measurable disease" !!! They were as shocked as me. The trial exceeded all expectations. Can't call it cured but probably dormant. Huge deal, not just for me but possibly setting up another treatment protocol for everyone in my situation. I've been on a 3 day party. Guess I'm following up all my posts in the cancer threads telling people about the trial options.

Congrats
Fwiw
My 35 y.o. when aged 8 yrs. Was diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma.
No cure.
There was a study on a European drug showing promising results.
We bit the bullet.
2 yrs later
Same result.
Go enjoy the day/view in front of you.

That's incredible. That had to be a longest 2 years of your life.

Glad to hear everything is working out well for you.
If you were on a trial program for a drug and it worked for you the manufacture will supply you with that drug for free if you need it in the future.
My Brother spent most of his career in oncology R&D and he has told me that he’s had to make batches of these drugs before.

Congrats on the all clear, it really is a great relief.

Uplifting news for a change! Congratulations man.
Any good party pics. You know, the good kind.
